I prefer Rice. Maybe it's because I never listen to the games on the radio, and I'd like a change of pace.

Snapper's good, but he tends to fall into certain ruts where he describes every game the same way:

-- you want to come out and play hard against this team early; if you let them think they're in the game, you could be in trouble
-- there is (not) ball movement, player movement
-- you have to play through the officiating

I'm not saying that he's WRONG when he says these things. It's just that he works them into almost every game, which gives it a been-there-done-that vibe.

Maybe Rice is like this, too, but I haven't heard his spiel as much so it would be novel for me.

Mike Rice changes his opinions halfway through a sentance. Steve Jones says it like we're just silly fans who can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Mike Rice talks about how the light at the end of the tunnel can happen IF the blazers play hard..but that it won't happen because the lakers will win the title, however the Mavs will be in the finals, if they beat the Kings.

Right on! Is there any competition? I mean, don't get me wrong, I really like Mike Rice. But compared to The Snapper? Not by a long shot.
