Mike Rice or the "Snapper"?
After watching the Houston - Blazer game with Mike Rice filling in for Steve Jones, I realized I enjoy Steve a lot more than listening to Mike Rice! I know that Mike is a very smart guy and knows a TON about basketball, but he ALWAYS talks or mentions what the other team is trying to do with a certain situation, or what they are thinking. After awhile it really started to bug me, but that's just me.
Who would all you rather listen to?
Mr. Steve "Snapper" Jones
or
Mike Rice
Let me know what you think about these two Portland commentators.

There's no competition!
The Snapper is the best broadcaster in the NBA, and that's not my bias talking, either...

I just found some more that I've never seen before:
This is the best picture of the Snapper that I have ever seen!
I hope I have convinced you all on who is the better broadcaster.
Thank you for your time.

Actually, I think the Snapper has a good tennis game, from what I am told. I bet you couldn't beat him!

I actually enjoyed Rice more, because he actually ads insite (and "wildness") to the broadcast.
Steve, although he's great, seems to mail it in sometimes.

I personally like my "snapper" over steamed white "rice", with a vegetable on the side.

I met Rice once at Eastmoreland golf course on the driving range. He's taller than I thought. Has a pretty good golf swing.
I like 'em both. But as for TV guys, snapper is one of the best ever.

Walton ~ "Whataya think, Snapper - How do I look, man? Are these new caps overly pretentious or unbecoming? Or, do they REALLY bring out the best in me?"
Snapper ~ "No comment, Bill." (But thinking........."Puhleeze, Bill. Let's just try and keep this discussion limited to basketball - OK? I mean, I don't want to keep on embarrassing you, pal."
