Telfair Saving Himself For Paul?
I think Telfair and the Blazers are not playing him because they want him to be fresh for the match-up between Telfair and Paul in Oklahoma. In round one, both players won because Telfair gets 1 point for winning the game and Paul gets 1 point for winning the match-up.
These were their stats the first time:
Telfair - 4/10 for 11 points, 8 assists and 1 rebound.
Paul - 8/12 for 21 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds.
This is going to be a great match-up, first time ever the Blazers will invade Oklahoma!

yah....thats it. Im sure the injury is just a scam, so he can be 'rested' and match up against Chris Paul, and try to play outside of the teams system!

Actually last year, Telfair was ridiculed for going one-on-one against an opponent. I just think Chris Paul is less flash and more game. Telfair is like a semi-rapper with all the hype surrounding him, with him being on magazine covers and such while Paul has the drive to become a great one.

Re: Telfair Saving Himself For Paul?
Hap I'm not saying the injury is a scam. Of course he's injured but he's close to coming back and maybe their resting him for the game in Oklahoma so he can play well against Paul. You know for a fact that Telfair has extra motivation when playing against Paul.

Re: Telfair Saving Himself For Paul?
I don't think so. I think that the management already knows they screwed the pooch by not selecting Paul, and sre not going to be pulling all these strings just to try to have Telfair look a little better.
So far, the one thing that many Nash supporters have said is that he is a great talent evaluator. Well, I'm not saying that Webster will not turn out to be good, cause I think he will, but it is Nash's fault that we did not seleect Chris Paul, who was ranked 1-4 in every mock out there.

Wasn't Nash quoted as saying, he's my guy, he's guy or something in that nature when he drafted Telfair.

Well with the way they're playing it will likely be the 30th pick .
There is still good talent however, there will be atleast one All-Star fromt he second round next year, we just have to find him. I was at the Oregon game versus Illinois and was very impressed with Dee Brown, he's somebody I'm high on.

And, apparently, not the only thing that you're "high on."
