OT: Would you Draft Matt Leinart??
Watching the game last night, I couldn't help but notice a few things about Leinart. I haven't seen a lot of SC this year, but I've heard on the radio all season that he can't take a hit. So I looked for that last night. He took a couple of big pops, especially that one right before halftime . . . ouch!! Anybody notice him trying to shake off the cobwebs? Then, after the game he looked shellshocked. He starts off by saying "It was a great win, I mean, a tough loss". What? Maybe I'm reading too much into a guy that just isn't used to losing. I mean, he did look good in the 3rd quarter (after the two big hits) I don't know though--something tells me that this guy is kind of a pretty boy and that he'll be either 1) injury prone in the NFL or 2) just not that effective at that level. I just wouldn't draft him. Not in the 1st round . . . or the 3rd, 4th, . . . I think he has "bust" written all over him. I know he'll go in the top 10--just don't know if he should.

Re: OT: Would you Draft Matt Leinart??
I think Leinart is way over-hyped and won't be worthy of his draft slot, which will end up being Top 3 most likely. He has been nothing but a winner in college, but he's been surrounded with some of the best talent ever assembled on one team. The biggest thing that is going to be an issue for him is his arm strength. He doesn't have a lot of zip on the ball when he releases it. He is extremely accurate and has beautiful touch, but you need some of that umph at the next level.
Not only would I not draft him in the first, I don't think he should be the first QB taken. That should be Jay Cutler, IMO.

I'm a Titan fan. I hope they trade up for that star Tackle and draft linemen with the rest of their picks. You could put god at QB for th Titans and lose.

Only if he can play the shooting guard position and hit the trey.

Re: OT: Would you Draft Matt Leinart??
Leinart had 3 incompleted passes in the 2nd half. one that was caught while a player was on his knees, one that was overthrown and one in the endzone that was knocked down. Vince Young cant throw long distances. He always overthrows if its more than a 20 yard pass

Re: OT: Would you Draft Matt Leinart??
I would take Matt Leinart over Vince Young. With that being said, I would take Reggie Bush over all of them because he is going to be a special player in the NFL. Houston better take Reggie because he is going to be a stud!

Re: OT: Would you Draft Matt Leinart??
I think Leinart could be a good fit in Tennessee. With Norm Chow there as offensive coordinator, he would be familiar with the offense & that team is going young & rebuilding, they could be pretty good in a few years. 3rd overall pick though....Leinart could be taken by then.

He said tough win not great and then changed it to tough lost. He looked like he couldn't believe they lost. That was obvious when he said Texas made the big plays at the end for the win but that they were a better team.

Re: OT: Would you Draft Matt Leinart??
USC was a better team, Texas was Vince, they didnt really play that well as a team if you think about it. they couldnt stop the blitz but vince did everything right and more to win it for them

Re: OT: Would you Draft Matt Leinart??
Texas won, USC lost, bottom line. If you're #1 and you lose in a head-to-head match-up to the #2 team, obviously, you are no longer #1. They were the best team, before last night, but that is no longer the case. The University of Spoiled Children is now the #2 team in college football until they prove otherwise next season. I'm not a fan of either team, not even remotely, but the fact that some are still agreeing with Matt L., when it was just proven otherwise, is laughable.
