Trade Telfair?
With the latest occurance of Steve Blake and how Telfair is disgruntled should we trade him? You can tell Telfair is unhappy, and wants a place on a team. At this point I consider him our 3rd PG, on a growing team.
But I do still want to keep him since this is 2nd year in the league and is still 20 years old.

Re: Trade Telfair?
I wouldn't mind dumping him well his stock is high. I think that Blake can be groomed into a very successful PG in Nate's system. Telfair I have no doubt he will be good, but whether he sits into the system we are seting up is yet to be seen. I don't want to try and fit a square peg into a round hole, nor do I want to make the round hole a square one so the square peg will fit. I vote that the Blazers make some serious player movement and stop "evaluating talent". It is time to cut our losses and pick who we are going to bet all our chips on.

how is telfair shown he is disgruntled? How can you tell he is unhappy? You must have special powers if you can tell that.
Would a disgruntled player, or unhappy player be cheering the team on from the bench? I doubt it.
At this point, it's a 3 way tie for 1st pg on this team (altho jack, being able to play SG, really could be considered the bottom of the pile). The teams improved play has much more to do with Juan Dixon's improved play/increased playing time, than Blake.
Trading him because of realstically 4-5 goood games by blake, is pointless.
we should trade webster. I mean, look at Dixon, he's outplaying Webster big time!

Re: Trade Telfair?
He was very excited during the Lakers game and rooting the team on from the sidelines (including Blake). Sounds VERY disgruntled to me.
Look, why is there all this endless speculation? Telfair is young, Blake is playing well. It's still early into their first season playing together. Why is there such a rush to anoint Telfair a bust and Blake the future? Why can't everyone just let this play itself out without speculating endlessly about both player's futures? We certainly can't make the right judgements in the short-term, so why not give each point guard time to prove their worth to the Blazers?
Just give them time to play their way into or out of the lineup! Why is there such a rabid debate ALREADY?

Re: Trade Telfair?
Nope. Let's keep Telfair, even though he is still struggling. Some guys take a little longer to adjust to the NBA game, and Telfair has shown great promise. It's way too early to give up on him.

Re: Trade Telfair?
Yes. Trade him to a team where he'll be wanted.

do not confuse a vocal minority coming up with hyperbolic posts, with the rest of the team wanting or not wanting him.

Re: Trade Telfair?
I think a team generally needs three point guards on the roster. one starter, one backup and one guy in case one of the other two gets injured. so if we were to trade any of our PG's (which I am open to--we've got too lousy a record to consider anyone untouchable), it'd have to return an NBA backup-quality PG.
Telfair probably could fetch the most talent in return, so you have to consider him.
I'd be much more excited to trade a couple of SF's first, though.

Good idea. I think we could and should trade him for a small forward prospect.

I think the only solution fair to the players is to trade all three of Telfair, Blake, and Jack for some SF prospects. None of them have really proven themselves yet, after all.

I'll go one better. We should trade Blake, Telfair, Jack, Webster AND our pick in the 06 draft (whats he done anyways? that guy should've stayed in college, he's a total bust so far!) for some SF prospects who can dunk and make ESPN highlights!
