Best TV guy
I can think of 5 play by play guys that the Blazers have had, and I was wondering, who do we think is the best?
Lafferty? Schonely? Doucette? Pranica? Barrett?
I realize i misspelled Schonz last name

Re: Best TV guy
You can't be serious.
This is like choosing between Jordan and 4 players from the Washington Generals.

Bill was the best TV play-by-play guy they ever had, when he was on the radio.
I always turned down the TV volume and cranked up The Schonz on the radio for the best of both worlds.
I've been pretty disappointed in everyone since. They're just not 100% into the team and the game.
Snoozeville.

Re: Best TV guy
I voted for Bill Schonely. He had many famous phrases. 'Rip City', 'Bingo Bango Bongo' and 'You've got to make your free throws'.

I'm confused. How would a piston fan know what Bill Schonely used to say?

Re: Best TV guy
Someone should add the original Blazers TV voice to the poll, Jimmy Jones.

Re: Best TV guy
You incorrectly spelled Pat's name. It's Laugherty.
Dude was a literal joke when it came to doing Blazers p-b-p.

Re: Best TV guy
I really like Barnett. He is even keel and quite observent and very down to earth. I like his Blog as well.
Shonz was the best on radio but he just was not a TV guy. He is a true "Salesman" - a showman. He could pitch most anything and is very good in commercials.
He sold a brand of basketball that was not allways there but that you wanted to be there. A real statesman of radio! How many games did he do? I probably listened to all but a hundred or so.

Re: Best TV guy
I know he wasn't play by play, but I like Steve Jones. Always enjoyed his insights and watching him run circles around Bill Walton when he did national games.
