Jazz by 5-10. I predict Jazz 98 - Portland 90. The game will be close though the first 2-3 quarters with the teams trading leads. Portland is coming off a loss last night and will probably wear down at the end.

I think this is gut check time. Things have been sliding since Pippen has been out. The defense has been lagging as well. Our offense oveer the years has always benefited from a good defensive effort. This years team is no exception.
Once the committment to D is restored you will see the promising team we all watched the last 2 years. But until then, we are just an average team.
Lets see what team shows up. The team that wants it all has to appear sooner or else they will just be another playoff stat this spring.

Crazy Fan From Idaho ~ Did you see the Derek Anderson loop to Arvydas Sabonis last night for the hop & dunk! It was awesome. Nice to see him move without the ball and get some sugar from Anderson last night!

Wow!!!
Nope...I didn't see it. Live stats are the best I have for following the games.
Thanks for telling me about it.
It seemed like Sabonis went in with a lot of energy last night. His line filled up fast...Quite different from tonight where even though he has played only about 7 min, he has virtually nothing in his box.
That's actually fairly unusual for him. Sabas is holding fast at 8th in the league for efficiency/48 min. He generally makes an impact fairly quickly when he plays. I'm sure he's tired tonight from the 25 or so minutes he played last night. I hope he plays more tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't.

Looks like Portland saw the end of the season and decided they couldn't handle success...i don't envy MO!

Damn.... Crappy crappy blazer game tonight... I would say the highlight of it was the monster dunk by Qyntel over Ostertag. Dallas should be fun on Friday. Gut check time for the blazers.

Qyntel can get up. That last dunk at the end of the game, his head was rim level

A few things I noticed......
1. In the third quarter after a timeout called because the Blazers had gone scoreless for 2 or 3 minutes, the ball went to Rasheed on the next 3 possessions and he scored each time. The Jazz had TOs on each of their possessions. Mo must have said....Get the ball to Wallace. They did.....And he scored. Things went back to normal after that.
2. For awhile, in the 3rd quarter and the beginning of the 4th quarter it seemed the ball kept going to guys whose shots just weren't falling tonight. (Not that any Blazer had stellar shooting tonight.) Antonio Daniels and Jeff McInnis kept getting the ball. Jeff eventually shot himself into a good percentage, but Antonio did not. Why didn't they get the ball to Sabonis during that stretch? Or did they and he passed out of the double team back to them?
3. Sabonis is playing in garbage time. He is not being saved for the play-offs. What do you think this means?
