My question is WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
This goes beyond preferential treatment. Nate's gonna play Patterson and there isn't even a game tonight. That's total bull**** man!!!!!

I meant when they play Dallas which is Sunday. It's been a while since the Blazers played a game. I used to teams playing every other day.

Luckily, you're not a fan of the Blazers anyway. You probably meant to say something about the Pistons.

I hear you TT. I completely understand your thinking. Fact is, if Nate didn't have a track record of giving guys the old heave-ho, then maybe I'd be more concerned. I heard he threw himself out of practice last year in Seattle for running drills out of sequence (not really)

We're not happy about it either. We just realize that the Players Union will never give up guaranteed contracts. Never, ever, ever, ever. I could see them trying to form their own league before they gave into that demand.

Exactly. Which is why Darth Vader, er, David Stern, one of the most powerful leaders in sports, who would LOVE to get teams the power to dump misbehaving players and not be on the hook. That he didn't bother asking in the latest round of CBA negotiotations tells you all you need to know.
Did get one year lopped off guaranteed contracts though, which is something, but not much.
Realize that does cut both ways. Shorter contracts means you can dump mistakes one year sooner. But, healthy, popular stars come up for unrestricted free agency one year sooner too.

Looks like you edited Howie's edit; that's considered bad form here and will get you a suspension if you persist.

Re: when is enough enough with ruben
Ruben is only a distraction to himself and a pain for the coaches. He has no leadership ability and therefore when he pulls this stuff, no one cares. It's no big deal to the team. This team needs him on the floor. It is a case where he's worth putting up with.
His actions are not detrimental to the team. Getting rid of him or suspending him would be.
