OT: No more UPN and WB
CBS and Warner join forces
I dont think I watch any show on UPN, but I know I like smallville on WB..
I wonder what is going to happen to the stations that are the affiliates (like WB in Portland and KPDX in Portland).
It's not known if Portland will have this affiliate right away (only 28 stations are owned by/run by the new group).

Re: OT: No more UPN and WB
No way, hopefully Smallville doesn't get canned as well due to this. That's the only show I watch on the WB and i rarely catch anything on UPN. Oh well at least there's still My Name is Earl and The Office on Thursday nights.

Re: OT: No more UPN and WB
In the official release it mentioned Smallville would be one of the highlights of the combined network - so no worries for us fans. Smallville's actually been having its strongest ratings ever this season, giving the WB its best Thursday night lineup ever. The release I read also mentioned Portland would have an affiliate (and at least 95% of the country will be able to get it).

Re: OT: No more UPN and WB
How did John Nash not get involved in this deal?
The WB was probably had for jump change and I bet that jerk Nash didn't even offer up Smith and a 1st rounder.
I HATE THE BLAZERS!

KWBP hasn't aired Mariners games in quite some time.

Re: OT: No more UPN and WB
In the long run, this change won't mean much to the majority of folks. They are keeping the best shows from both networks.

Re: OT: No more UPN and WB
The article I read said that the new network would be on the Tribune-owned KWBP Channel 32 in Portland. That leaves KPDX Channel 49 without a network. Maybe it'll go to Univision or Telemundo; they seem to be the largest networks without a Portland station.
