Re: Barrett's Blog...
"We also spoke with Blazers scout Bill Bayno, who is with Martell Webster and Sergei Monia in Fort Worth while they spend time with the Flyers of the NBDL. Bayno's love is player development and he filled us in on what the players have been up to since being sent down. He said the players have great attitudes and are doing what they can in a difficult situation for them. Bayno told us Martell has been terrific, and has been requesting extra work above and beyond what the Flyers are doing in practice. Bayno said it has even surprised him. He knows Martell very well, and coached him last summer in the Las Vegas Summer League."
I've always been a believer that action speak louder than words. Webster could say he isn't concerned or effected by being moved down, but I would wonder what he really is feeling. His actions appear to be consistent with his words or at least not the actions of a spoiled 18 year old kid pouting about the move. In fact maybe being sent down has effected him . . . in a good way.
