I "Hope" To Interview Wheels..
...while I'm out there the week before the Bash.
In the same vein as the Canzano questions (err, legitimate ones), please post them here and I'll (hopefully) pose them to Wheels while I'm out there. As you'll notice, he loves us, guys!
Quote:
Hey Tim,
Good to hear from you as always and nice to hear that you'll be here for the Bash on April 1st.* It's a little hard to know this far in advance my schedule, but we have a couple of off-days on March 27th and 28th so we might be able to do lunch on one of those days.* And I'd be happy to have you gather some questions from the board for me to answer.* I'm a big fan of you guys as you know so that would be no problem at all.* Why don't you e-mail me again as we get closer to your arrival and I'll have a much better idea of my schedule at that point?* Say hi to the gang at the board for me, and I'll look forward to seeing everyone at the Bash, and hopefully you a few days sooner!* Take care for now.* GO BLAZERS!
*
All the best,
*
Wheels

Re: I "Hope" To Interview Wheels..
Q: Who is your pick as our SF of the future?
Q: Who do you think will be the PG of the future?
Q: Do you think Joel will stay with the Trail Blazers?

Re: I "Hope" To Interview Wheels..
1. Do you guys mind sitting next to John Canzano and Jason Quick? (subtext: I realize that you guys have a different kind of view of the team than us fans, and that you might not take what they say as harshly as we do, because you might be seeing what it is they are reffering to and it's more truth than we fans want to admit)
2. Anyway that you can invite..ooh....3 of us posters to a practice one day? (I think Howie and Schilly know who Im talking about)
3. Do you notice a significant difference between Antonio and Mike Rice (besides that one is a former star in basketball, and the other went to Michelle Pfeiffer University..JUST kidding Antonio) in their pre-game preperation?
4. What happens if you drop a colourful metaphor during the game? Such. "Steve Javie made the most horrible bleeping bleep of a bleeping call, that stupid son of a bleeping bleep bleep!"?
5. Need anyone to carry your bags on that long road trip coming up? Er...
6. Understanding that you're being paid by the Trail Blazers, do you really think that you could've lived with yourself if you actually had been named the Lakers play-by-play man, knowing the absolute white hot hatred we Blazer fans have for that team?
7. Most importantly. Ric Flair or Ricky Steamboat?
8. Do you think you'll ever have a talk-show in Portland (because god knows we need some decent local sports shows) like you did in Sacramento?
Thanks Brian (and ABM).

Re: I "Hope" To Interview Wheels..
here's a question I meant to ask John Canzano.
In AC/DC's song "Back in Black" the following lyric appears.
Quote:
Back in the thing,
I drive a Cadillac,
mama, one with a bullit,
I'm a power pack.
Yes, I'm in a band,
with a gang,
they've got to catch me if they want me to hang,
cause I'm back on the track and I'm beatin the fox
|
to me, it sounds like he's saying "cause I'm back on the track and I'm beating to ****"
I'm not sure which one it is. Do you know?
(hm..maybe this isn't good for Brian to answer)

Ricky Steamboat easily...Flairs figure four leg lock failed in comparison to Steamboats jumping piledriver which he made famous......
Bret "The Hitman" Hart was better than all those guys though.....cause he was "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be"........

I doubt I'll ask that one.
Seriosuly, though, there's a pretty good chance I'll egt to sit down with him. As he enjoys our board so much, I thought it would be fitting that we could ask and he could answer some questions he probably wouldn't get asked otherwise.
C'mon, guys. here's a chance to get some wider recognition for our board. I wouldn't doubt he has some nice words to say during one of the following broadcasts.

Re: I "Hope" To Interview Wheels..
In your opinion (assuming Miles was still injured), if the Blazers had started the season with the exact starters/rotation we have now, would they be in "legit" competition for a playoff seed at this point?

I remember a few years back when he lost all that weight. I really feel for people that struggle with this....on an ongoing basis.

Yes I feel bad for them to...at the same time I do question their effort at times.
