Re: Is Outlaw moving past Khryapa on the depth chart? (merged)
Outlaw is finding out better how to score within the offense. But he is just too slow to pick up his man and react to his move on defense. He gets caught just watching the play.
Khryapa seems too interested in makeing the "great" defenseive and hustle play and is trying too hard rather than stay in front of his man. Sometimes that is best.
When Miles comes back Nate will probably sub Outlaw if he wants offense andd Khryapa if he wants more defense.
I thought Nate got out-coached last night by Carlile because they took early and effective advantage of Khryapa's desire to double and not get back to his man. Also they made very good advantage of Dixon's lack of hieght. Of course the coach cannot get his players to make shots, but Indiana had a miss-match at nearly all positions. Joel's knee did affect the game as well.
Just a very poorly played game by Portland. What will they do next game??
