Poll: Odds of accidentally carrying a loaded gun?

I'm just curious. Does anyone actually believe that Telfair could have "accidentally" picked up his girlfriend's loaded gun and taken it on a road trip? To me, this is about as likely as Telfair walking on the moon, or hitting a jump shot. Well, I take that back. He could have walked on the moon.

Anyway, let me know what you think.

Re: Poll: Odds of accidentally carrying a loaded gun?

Accidentally picked up a handgun and carried it on by mistake...no.

Grab the wrong bag when you're picking up your luggage and running out the door to catch a plane (which is what the report says), yeah, I can see that happening.

Telfair's mistake was not turning the gun over to the team's security personnel once he'd realized his mistake.

How come you automatically assume a lie when it comes to Blazer "stories" that don't quite add up, yet automatically assume the truth when a Republican "story" depends on a similar leap of faith?

What about option 5, which should be Who Cares?

Mark me down for that one.

Re: Poll: Odds of accidentally carrying a loaded gun?

Jesus Christ. Let's make a huge deal out of this. The ****ing police even said there was no illegal activity and his story seems to be correct. So why don't we just believe him, this would be one of the few times a Blazer actually did something bad and it was an honest mistake.

That's 1 thing thats wrong with today's society, people are now guilty until proven innocent.

I've never accidentally picked up a bag containing a gun, much less a loaded gun. Have you? I asked a few friends, and they've never carried around a loaded gun without knowing about it, either. The story just doesn't fly.

You obviously didn't read the article then. He took the bag, thinking it was his and ran out the door. He didn't find out he had the gun until he was looking for something in his bag, when he realized he had the wrong bag.

So you think Cheney shot his friend on purpose?

Very impressive, Hap.

I was showing how faulty your statement is. As what I said is completely true, but really plays absolutely no part in whether or not what happened, happened the way that we've been told.

Just as your statement plays no part in whether or not what telfair said is true or untrue. It plays no part in it, nor is it a valid counter argument.

Re: Poll: Odds of accidentally carrying a loaded gun?

Here is a thought, was it a chick gun or a gagsta gun.

We know it was a Smith and Wesson. If it was a glock, no way girlfriend (with that cute frame but petite wrists) can fire that bad boy and I say the gun belonged to Bassy, just under her name.

If the gun is a S&W .45, same theory.

But if the gun is a cute little .22, it belonged to her and Bassy would barely feel that in the bag (I still don't get the bag thing).

If the gun was a .32, well that gun could shoot on both sides of the target.

So, you think there is a 38.6% chance Telfair is telling the truth (Telfair's 3 pt shooting percentage)?

Besides, the story isn't that he picked up her gun, but that he picked up her bag. A mistake that a man less manly than yourself could certainly make, if the two of them had similar or matching bags.
