Blockbuster 3 way POR/NY/DEN (IDEA)
How about this one:
Portland trades:
Theo
Ruben
Outlaw
Det #1
Portland receives:
Nene
Lee
Penny
Denver trades:
Nene
Watson
Denver receives:
Outlaw
Crawford
NY trades:
Crawford
Penny
Lee
NY receives:
Watson
Theo
Ruben
Det #1
Portland gets the inside presence and backup PF it needs.
Denver gets the 2 guard they crave and a swingman w/potential.
NY gets the shotblocker, defensive stopper and point man while bagging a pick.

Re: Blockbuster 3 way POR/NY/DEN
I don't like it. Nene is an unknown after his knee injury. Otherwise it is the same as the NY trade except we lose Outlaw and a #1 as well. So overall, I think this trade scenario blows.
Last but not least, you need to title your thread as "Hypothetical" and not lead people to believe a trade went down.

Re: Blockbuster 3 way POR/NY/DEN
Successful Scenario
Due to Portland, Denver, and New York being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Portland, Denver, and New York had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Trade ID
Every trade made by fans is allocated a unique Trade ID which you can share with friends and fellow basketball fans to allow them to see your trade scenario. The Trade ID for this scenario is 2964359.

Re: Blockbuster 3 way POR/NY/DEN
Assuming Nene's physical went well, I think this could work. I don't see anyone that gets a raw deal here, so it passes the red face test.

Nene for Outlaw I would like..... if the Nene for old comes back... but it is an unknown
I would try to keep the pick..... just like other injuries.. its a huge unknown... Your going to have to resign Nene... he needs a qualifier. I think

Re: Blockbuster 3 way POR/NY/DEN (IDEA)
Nene tore his ACL - not a death sentence by any means. Reports out of Denver say he's working his tail off to come back early, and the knee is responding well. Normally, a torn ACL takes a year to heal to where you can play, and 2 years to be 100%. I like Nene's chances of bouncing back from this. He's a stud. He's the antitheses of Z-Bo. There's no crafty, slippery, etc. parts in his game. It's all physical ability. I'd love to have this guy.

FYI:
Trade works w/Miles in place of Ruben, which is not the preferred scenario.

Re: Blockbuster 3 way POR/NY/DEN (IDEA)
I think I like this idea, but I'm not sure that Denver would go for it. Crawford is the SG they've been craving?

Re: Blockbuster 3 way POR/NY/DEN (IDEA)
Denver needs a SG in the worst way.
Watson is not what they are looking for in a PG, and Nene is not needed with K-Mart and Camby manning the 4 and 5 spots.

I like this much better than any trade involving NY I've seen thus far. Nice work!

IMO, they would still need a SG in the worst way. What does Crawford's contract look like? If it doesn't end very soon, I think they should look at Richardson instead, at least he can shoot a little bit.

Richardson has had a bit of an injury bug, and Crawford is on his way out of NY, according to reports. LB seems to like what he has seen out of Q. Rich.
