SA - My dad is a prof of dentistry at OHSU, look for an ex-navy old man doing dental bridges.

By the way mediocre man, under an ounce only a fine, like a parking violation in Oregon. I can handle the occasional fine if I can park my car next to my house.

So then it's ok to tell our children to do wrong if the consequences are minor.

Nope but I don't think he has any children MM so it doesn't matter to him yet. You have to remember he is a much different stage of his life then you are.

I have one child, I am married, 3 years now. I am only 30 though. Is that too young.

My children don't drive! They certainly don't smoke. And as the great men of the Boston Tea Party said, (paraphrasing) "sometimes rules are meant to be broken". If you don't stand up against unfair rules, then the law becomes a cgae that ensnares us all. First they come for the cigarette smokers, and i said nothing. Then they came for the alcohol drinkers and i said nothing. Then they came for the caffine drinkers, and i said nothing. Then they came for the the pot smokers and me, and there was no one left to say anything. I teach my kids to stand up for what they believe in, yes. I do not teach them to do any kind of drugs, even caffine. They choose to have caffine in moderation. They stand up for what they believe in and when they get old enough I hope they can make an educated decision for themselves whether or not to try pot.

I know you're not talking to me. I mean how in the hell would you know what I've done. First of all I don't drink beer. Believe me I've tried to like it, but just don't. Secondly as a responsible adult I can't remember a time that I have been close to altered and got behind the wheel of a car

That is ok. It's probably because i hang around youth all day teaching and their vocabulary rubs off on me. No worries on this end.

Wasn't your vocab. It was when you said " I have two parents who are docs." that threw me off, guess I assumed it meant you lived with them etc.

No, why Japan? I taught in Italy, I am italian and wanted to learn my families language. I teach here in Oregon now, I am just a lowly math teacher, the ones ever kid despises.

Close family sa, italians are like that. Mia familia la amora. I still suck at italian haha

I read a report recently that caffine is realted to high blood pressure, heart attacks and arthritis.
