I was just watching the 76er/Nuggets game and Doug Collins said something that helped remind me to have a little patience. He was talking about how when he came in as a rookie, Philadelphia had a lovely record that year of 9 wins and 73 losses. (Sounds familiar, and Portland situation is not even nearly as bad.) He was talking about what a special situation it was to grow with the team and get to the point where they competed with Portland in the finals 4 years later. Sometimes, you think your team has got it real bad, and they are never going to get better. Then somebody like Collins comes along and gives you a little perspective, and it is a bit easier to sit back and watch the game tonight.
