I couldn't watch the second half
I did something I've never done before tonight: I bailed out of the Blazer game. When they came out after halftime and let Dallas score 6 straight points, my stomach started to churn. It was just so painful to see how inept this team is at times that I'd had all I could take tonight. I flipped around and watched "Manhattan Murder Mystery" with Woody Allen and Diane Keaton. Even Diane Keaton's shrill hysteria was more entertaining than the Blazers, at least for awhile.
I don't think I've ever seen a team struggle so much to score, or repeatedly leave men open, or throw so many stupid passes, or just generally look so clueless. Sometimes it seems like we're a high school team playing against a pro team. Just too painful to endure.
Anybody else feel the same way?

Re: I couldn't watch the second half
I enjoyed watching the 2nd half, mostly because we actually got to see Sebastian and Martell get some run.

Re: I couldn't watch the second half
Yeh that bad start to the second half forced me to buy a second $6 beer at the game.

Re: I couldn't watch the second half
I was at the game and for the first time I left during halftime. My friend and I was just dozing off in the 2nd quarter with the lackluster play and called it a night. I just wasn't too impress with their play tonight. I'm assuming I didn't miss very much in the second half.

ah, you missed a "thriller" Wednesday night: Sonics vs Grizzlies. They had 3 good effort games against NO/OK, Detroit, & a blowout win against Utah, and follow those up with a horrible effort, no offense, no rebounding (1 offensive rebound in the first half, & it came with like 3 minutes left in the 2nd). They were booed loudly in the 4th qtr for the horrible effort. I understand the frustration---when you see flashes of really good things, and then see horrible efforts or tons of mistakes, it's extremely disappointing, rebuilding process or not.
Nate's voice was quivering...heh, must have been ready to blow his lid. At least he doesn't come up with excuses for lackluster performances....Hill is the master of making excuses...."we're in training camp, the refs were bad, Luke's legs are tired" etc., etc.

Yea, I noticed that too....
and a couple guys were giving coach McMillan grief about that as he was walking off...yelling at him that "Darius is lazy and doesn't care" and then they yelled something to the effect of "why don't you play Outlaw more?".....
I saw a lot of unhappy fans at the game tonight...and personally it was pretty sad to see the building completely emptying out with still like 4 minutes to go in the game...

Re: I couldn't watch the second half
Its funny that every time Telfair has a good game no one notices. Blake is GOD!!! His 6 points and 4.5 assists while being a 4 year college player in a top notch program and being nearly 26 are clear indicators of his greatness. LOL. He is the epotomy of a mediocre PG.

Sadly Talk, you missed some of the best basketball by the team all year in the 4th quarter. Telfair was so fun to watch, Webster was moving a bit more, driving, starting breaks and still shooting well, Zach played well, Outlaw played good, Viktor was fun to watch. The 4th quarter was what games should be like all year.

Re: I couldn't watch the second half
I watched the game specifically for the 2nd half. I knew once the game was out of control, Nate would finally play the young guys.

I'm sure you're right, but I just couldn't sit through another minute of pathetic play. I was around in the early days (and I mean the early 1970's) when the Blazers were really bad, but I don't think they were ever THIS bad.
