Because Damon Stoudamire wasn't half the player that Paul is, and because KG was only one player. We're talking about Telfair AND Webster being as good. Neither of those conditions are nearly as likely as KG catching Damon.

my point is what impatient fans might want to not jump at the chance at replacing a guy./*****ing about not getting a guy at the drop of a hat.

There's no point in having race horses if you want them to pull a wagon.
If I want to watch someone pull a wagon I'd be a soccer fan.

my point is that if we are truly committed to Nate for the next five years, well, we should behave accordingly. nate just doesn't like full court, fast-paced offenses. he was dragged into doing it for one season with Seattle as a last resort.

if that's the way we're going to be, then so be it. but let's not try to shoehorn in fast break players into that mold. let's dump the players who don't fit and go after ones who do.

if you find that really objectionable, then we should look for a new coach.

myself, I'm a little flippant on this I'll admit. I'm not sure if I want to dump Nate so soon, but I'm also not sure I'm comfortable with the giving up on guys like Telfair.

i'm just really grappling with how incongruous Nate and (especially) Telfair/Miles/Outlaw are. something has to give.
