The reason the Expos are here has nothing to do with Potter (he wasn't in office). It had nothing to do with public money. Thats just his battle cry, to appease the masses who don't have the ability to look into things on their own.
The expos went to WDC because MLB wanted them to go there. It was evident from the get-go, by anyone who actually knows what they're talking about.
Tom Potter has nothing to do with why a MLB team would come here, because there's already a chunk of change set-aside (in theory) that has nothing to do with "public money" or "education". It's just Tom Potter using that as a "Roar, I'm for the education of our children! Grunt!"
it means nothing, and it IS nothing. He's trying to scare people into being against something as if it's the cause of the poor funding.
I really wish you'd read up on things.
Tom Potter knows that the Blazers bring more to the table than they take. He's just saying things to please his choir, even though what he's saying has little to nothing to do with why the team would or wouldn't stay.
It's called "saving his ***".
