3 centers
0 points, 9 boards, 1 block, 0 assists. anybody else see a problem here? I do. we have way to many players who don't hold up their end of the bargain.

Re: 3 centers
did i mention that these same 3 centers also received 215 k for this. It's amazing to me how much money these players get for something I do for free or pay a gym membership to do. Makes me sick honestly.

Re: 3 centers
Theo Ratliff had only 1 rebound, I hate that guy. Once he got his big contract he quit playing hard. Nash made a horrible move by giving him a big contract, dumb, dumb dumb.

Re: 3 centers
Unless I'm wrong (in which case I just posted erroneous info on the free agent/trades section), Theo's contract was only four years long. That makes only two years left after this year. Right?
If so, why is that such a bad contract? Granted he is payed well but he's a vet and he's a center that when healthy can contribute very well. One year from now he'll be considered a good asset to trade because his deal would be looking to expire. We're not stuck with him for long.

Re: 3 centers
I think Portland would be idiotic to give Prz anything more than the Mid Level Exception. He is a $5 million a year player and nothing more. Really, look at his stats. I'm not interested in giving any center 8-10 mill for 4 pts, 8 reb, 2 blks.

Not saying I disagree with your assessment but I am willing to give Pryz a bit more credit since IMO he has been playing at 75% for much of the season due to various injuries.
If we decide that he is injury prone and thus don't give him a big contract that's a completely different story.

look at theos stats and tell me it's a good contract. he is averaging 5 boards, 4 points and maybe a block a game and makes 11 million dollars. What is he doing that makes it a good contract. And he has been injury prone his entire career, and nash gives him this contract after 30 games. Biggest idiot move I have ever seen.

Re: 3 centers
Granted his stats are terrible and certainly Portland is not getting it's money's worth but I think you're being a bit unrealistic about the supply and demand for centers in the NBA. When healthy Theo is an above average center in the league. Now if his contract was going to run another 4 years I would be right there with you.
The absolute dumbest contract Portland has given is the one to Miles. Not because the numbers are completely out of this world (they certainly indicate a real leap of faith though), but because of the length of his contract. Now there's a guy I wish we could unload.
