Morrison v. Randolph
I don't have much objection to the Blazers taking a flyer on Morrison (although I'll probably breathe a sigh of relief if he's off the board by the time we draft) but it strikes me that he can't coexist with Zach. You just can't have two forwards who are not much use unless they're taking shots in the same frontcourt. Glenn Robinson and Vin Baker never worked for the Bucks. Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker weren't great for the Celtics either (and Pierce can play way better defense than I can see Morrison playing). So I say the Blazers should either target someone else if they're keeping Zach or move Zach (easier said than done).

Re: Morrison v. Randolph
what do you mean? 2 non defense playing forwards surely would take us to a title
Thats why we need to take Aldridge or Bargnani, and just let Joel walk

We need to trade joel. This comparison between morrison and randolph isint fair.Morrison is in shape but he doesn't have atleticisim but i dont think that really matters if a player got drafted on athleticism many more people would still be in the nba.Zbo is just fat and out of shape.

He is an UFA. A trade of Joel is not feasible.

Re: Morrison v. Randolph
It's unfair to compare Morrison and Randolph. Zach is a good inside threat, and Morrison could be a sharpshooter from deep. Morrison can take the ball to the hoop and finish, and if needed, Zach isn't above taking deep jumpers. If anything, I think they would complement eachother well.

Re: Morrison v. Randolph
Hopefully Zach would be gone if we drafted morrison but its very unlikely thanks to nash for signing zach to that humongous contract.

Re: Morrison v. Randolph
People still have to realize we are not the only team interested in Morrison. With tonight's performance, Morrison likely locked himself into the #1 pick, he's that good. He's a can't mis prospect like Lebron. Whoever gets the #1 will likely draft him. Right now, we have the 3rd highest chance of winning the lottery behind Chicago and Charlotte.

Morrison's stock was helped by tonight's game, sure. But they played Xavier! A #14 seed! It's not like he lit it up against Duke or UCLA.
He'll need to take his team deep in the tournament to lock up the top pick.

Re: Morrison v. Randolph
I highly doubt chicago will take him with nocioni and deng at sf they have tyson chandler at pf c ,mailk allen and darius songalia are the only big men i can think of.Charlotte is the only team ahead of us that i can see taking him.

Rudy Gay is the only one I see contending with Morrison. A few days ago I heard Alddrige is coming back, maybe he changed his mind i dont know. I think once draft day comes, Morrison will be the consenus #1.

Well, the tournament will tell alot. If Gonaza loses in the next round or the Sweet 16, he won't be a conseus #1, because there will be SOME PLAYER out there who leads their team to the Final Four.
There's a lot of time between now and Draft Day, and a lot can happen. Don't assume anything yet.
