Are the Blazers playing up to your expectations?
I predicted 20 to 25 wins, so from that standpoint I would say yes. However, they seem to be worse now than they were at the beginning of the season.

Re: Are the Blazers playing up to your expectations?
My expectations at the beginning of the year were greater. So in that regard, no.
As for my expectations of how they are able to play without a healthy Joel and Theo, yeah, they are playing down to my expectations.
I said earlier in the year, when Joel was healthy, that we would be doomed without him. When he went down, so did we.

Re: Are the Blazers playing up to your expectations?
My expectations were that the young guys would play a ton this season and go into next season better for it. Nate's benching of Webster because of his not being the first to practice, and Telfair for playing "his" game pisses me off, so I would say no.

No. Not even close. Something has ripped the heart right out of this team.

Re: Are the Blazers playing up to your expectations?
they are doing great i am glad they arent on a 6 game win streak which would only hurt our draft, too many injuries and having our two dudleys out dont help much either.
when do the ping pong balls drop?

Re: Are the Blazers playing up to your expectations?
Maybe I should explain a few of my "ratings":
Randolph - Last fall, I actually expected little of him this year. If you go back and read my posts (although I don't expect anyone to actually do this!), you'll see that I only expected him to start producing here in March - if at all. I was pretty scared that his knee surgery would leave him much, much less the player he was 2 years ago.
Webster - Some say he's a disappointment. I say he's a kid straight out of HS with a bright future. He's doing just about what I expected.
Telfair - I haven't lost faith, but I did expect to see more development out of him this year.
Dixon - I expected him to have some great games and some lousy games. That's what I've seen this season.
I can expand further on others if needed....

Just wondering - which "old" players have gotten a lot of PT this season?

Re: Are the Blazers playing up to your expectations?
I thought I was being optimistic with predicting 27 wins. I thought there would be lots of talk about lack of effort. I thought that Nate's presence wouldn't really matter much in terms of wins and losses. I thought that the team would have significant numbers of injuries. And I didn't think that the team would get better over the course of the season.
They're currently on track for just about 26 wins, and most of what I thought would happen this year has. So: yeah, they're playing up to my expectations.

You're being a little generous there....I don't see us winning more than 2-3 more games...
We have a very tough schedule from here on out...we should start counting the ping pong ball now...

Not that they are old persay, but Steve Blake, Juan Dixon, Vashon Lenard, Darius Miles have all recieved more time than I think they should. Vashon lenard for example should never leave the bench. Juan Dixon should get 1/2 the minutes he is to develop Webster more. Darius Miles when he plays hard should play a lot, that being said he shouldn't play a lot, instead Travis should get more minutes. Steve Blake has certainly earned his minutes, but Telfair was playing so well last year under Pritchard I'm sad to see him relegated to 3rd string because he is too flashy for Nate's sake.

Re: Are the Blazers playing up to your expectations?
I predicted 35 wins I believe and I think this team could have achieved that. So I guess I am basically saying I think they have underachieved this year. I am disapointed in that.
