Anyway I dunno...I always thought you made it into a direct statement as the rule of thumb..thus "Wheels and Me are going to dinner" vs "Wheels and I are going to dinner."
Well now I have just confused myself...my 3rd grade teacher would be dissapointed in me.

I wouldn't blame her, lol. "If anyone wants to do lunch with I" is incorrect, so "lunch with Wheels and I" is incorrect. And "Wheels and I are going to dinner" is the correct version. I don't mean to sound supercilious, I'm just offering constructive criticism. Well, originally, it was just an excuse to jerk ABM's chain a little but since the opportunity presented itself, I thought I would jump on the old soap box.

lol we are saying the same things I think...in a question form it's "would anyone like to do lunch with Wheels and me?" In a statement form it's "Wheels are and I are going to lunch."

Re: If Anyone Wants to Do Lunch With Wheels And I..
It's about subject versus object. The subject of a sentence does something to/with/at the object. In this sentence:
If Anyone would like to do lunch with Wheels and I
"Anyone" is the subject
"Wheels and I" is the object
Okay, knowing that...
As a subject, it's "Other person and I" (as in "Wheels and I ate half a waterbuffalo at lunch.")
As an object, it's "Other person and me" (as in "You took a picture of Wheels and me slathered in barbecue sauce?")
Rule of thumb: remove the "other person and" and see if the sentence makes sense (as has been mentioned above).
I am an English major.
I'd also like to come, but it will depend on how expensive the meals are there; I've never been there before.

I've always had a knack for recognizing and correcting incorrect usage, but I could never get the hang of the vernacular used by those in the know.

Thanks for the English lesson.... I think.
It would great if you could come. The more, the merrier.
Here's a link to the restaurant. Inside, is a link to their menu. Doesn't look too bad. A fair variety of items to choose from.

I love BJ's big bake potatoes! I really wish I could make it but no way can I make it during the day on a week day. Maybe we can post questions you could print out? Tell him I said "HEY!".

Re: If Anyone Wants to Do Lunch With Wheels And I..
I have a dentist appointment at that time so I can't be there. However, here is a warning for those of you looking for the address of the place. Do NOT type in the URL address as bj dot com. The pictures are something you really don't want to come up on your business computer.
btw - with you and me is correct. If the pronoun is the object of a preposition (in this case "with"), use the objective pronoun (me). It's easy to remember if you mentally omit the words Wheels and, then the sentence is ... want to do lunch with me.
Have fun.

Me and Wheels had a great time, thanks.
Oh, RedHot&Rolling was the only other participant, which made it a little bit more casual (and insightful?).
