The rule of thumb is take the other person out of the sentence. In other words, you wouldn't say, "Would you like to have dinner with I?" You'd say "Would you like to have dinner with me?" So "Would you like to have dinner with Wheels and I?" is incorrect. The correct phrasing would be "Would you like to have dinner with Wheels and me?" If you like, you can reconstruct the sentence to read something like, "Wheels and I are having dinner, would you like to join us?"

P.S. I'm no English major either.

I believe you, ABM. And I'd join you if I thought I could get the time off work. With all the Blazer tickets I won at the Cheerful Tortoise, it's going to be plenty difficult getting away early enough that many times to get my secret parking spot in the Rose Garden Garage.
