D. Miles leaves last nights game early...?
What's going on here? Is Miles hurt or simply pouting because he and McMillan aren't getting along? Sure sounds like Nate thinks it's the later. I am just confused as to why Miles is upset...if in fact he is. Granted it this is from a Quick article and possibly overblown but it still raises questions IMO. Thoughts folks?

As usual, McMillan expressed his disappointment in general terms, talking about the team, not individuals. But his ire could easily have been directed at Darius Miles, who collected $80,555 for 17 minutes of work during which he did not score a point or get a rebound. Miles missed all four of his shots, made one assist and committed three fouls before being replaced by Travis Outlaw with 11:13 left in the fourth quarter.
Miles, who was not available after the game for comment, appeared surprised to be replaced and headed directly to the locker room. Team officials then reported he would not return because of a bruised eye.
"It's just drama that constantly goes on with this team," McMillan said, again remaining vague. "And until we change our attitude about playing the game, it's going to get worse before it gets better."

You can't have issues of whether half the team is playing, or two guys are playing," McMillan said. "Or some guys playing hard, some guys not. Some guys interested, some guys are not. You can't win like that. I mean, this is the NBA, this is not Rec League. I shouldn't have to be asking for effort, focus."

Wow. He was awesome in the game before: points, rebounds, assists, blocks. Now this. Drama or a "bruised eye?" Sounds more like drama. I wonder what would have triggered such a change between games?

thats almost the story of his career (although obviously not to this degree). We see a game where he puts out a solid effort, and shows signs of what he should do...and then he follows it up by a game that he just doesn't seem to (from all reports) care about being there.
his biggest problem is he's not consistent (and has a bad outside shot).

Re: D. Miles leaves last nights game early...?
I guess I am a little confused...
to me, it would seem that everyone but perhaps D-miles, is wanting to play......who besides D-miles is lacking effort or heart?
I know, webster, tlaw, blake, dixon, skinner, joel are all about the game.....so who does that leave that isnt passionate enough day in?

Re: D. Miles leaves last nights game early...?
Jay Allen said last night that he had some swelling near his eye, and looked like he was going to have a shiner. I hope this doesn't come down to Nate having to tell Paul Allen "Either he goes or I go." Hopefully Nate has enough juice to sit Darius if he feels the need. And I'd love to be a fly on the wall if Darius decides to try to tell Nate to "go cry to the man."

Just speculation on my part, but it could be a vague reference to Zach not doing what he's told and playing within the offensive scheme.

Actually, the report was incorrect. It was a bruised "I", not a bruised "eye". Sometimes the spellings get lost in translation from audio to print.

We need to trade his sorry *** for a draft pick. Low salary player will have more guts and will to play, than rich Miles. Who can't wait to go drive his car after "hard" work.

Unfortunately, we have to get equal salary in return.

This makes me sick on so many levels.
Surprisingly, I'm most disgusted that anyone gets paid this much money to play a game. No matter who they are. It's never hit me quite like this.
Second, Darius is worthless.....but I knew that already. I can't stand him.
