since atlanta is under the cap
do you think they would do a trade for miles. I'm thinking we give them miles for their 1st pick, which could be top 3. I think this would give atlanta a good lineup with joe johnson and the kid from indy(I forget his name, is it harrison?) and would give us 2 top 5 picks in the upcoming draft. then we go for adam morrison and a center if there is one worth that high of a pick. I am just so sick of miles at this point and feel he needs to go. He is putting up decent number, I am just sick of his attitude. rather then put out the effort to start, he just whines and complains about it.

You have it backwards...
For them to take Miles' contract off our hands, we'd have to give them a pick.

Re: since atlanta is under the cap
By your moniker - I'd think it was Ratliff you'd want to trade so badly.
Harrington is the players name. If Atlanta would take Miles and give us their 1st round pick - we'd do it without PA's permission. It'd be a steal.
However, I don't think Miles has rehabilitated his image around the league as well as he has to some of our fans. We're looking through rose-colored glasses. He's put on too many nights like his last - and not enough games like his explosion in Denver a few seasons ago.

Exactly...Miles lazy *** coupled with his somewhat bad contract make him worth little more then a pick in the 10-15 range maybe...and that's if we are lucky.

Re: since atlanta is under the cap
I dont think anyone would give up a high lotto for Miles.
But if Atlanta got the #1 pick and we got #3, I'd try offering Miles + our pick for their pick + a player (not sure who).

Does Atlanta really need another SF? Don't they have like eight of them already?

Re: since atlanta is under the cap
whatever it takes, I want miles gone. is not not what trailblazer basketball is about. When I think of the blazers, I think clyde, walton, buck williams, tp, kersey. not darius miles. I would be willing to trade miles and maybe our 2nd round pick for atlantas pick, or maybe a future 1st round pick. I just don't want him in our plans anymore.

stop living in the past first off.
second, i want miles out of here as much as you do, however, atlanta has someone named marvin williams. and josh smith. and joe johnson. they need to develop their OWN young guys.
if it were possible, i'd send miles to the dleague for ****s and giggles.

Re: since atlanta is under the cap
I always get a kick out of Trailblazer fans not old enough to appreciate the Blazers of old indicating that fans who are old enough to remember should "stop living in the past". The Blazers that have gone before set a high standard in this community and earned the respect given to them. Those types of players are exactly what this team needs.
Actually the majority of the players on this team are high character guys. The difference between these guys and Blazers of old is that the Blazers of old were also talented basketball players.

Exactly what I was thinking. Theo fills a need in ATL much more than Miles.

Re: since atlanta is under the cap
Atnanta needs Miles, that way they could play the famous all SF lineup...
PG- Joe Johnson
SG- Josh Childress
SF- Marvin Williams
PF- Darius Miles
C- Josh Smith
