ESPN Poll: Darius Miles most overrrated player in NBA
Ya gotta love it. Even the fans in other cities know that Darius is a loser. The bad part is, this may make it harder to trade the bum.

Re: ESPN Poll: Darius Miles most overrrated player in NBA
That's pretty funny. The thing is, of course, that many people would read that poll as, "Who's the worst player of those listed?" and compared to the other four Miles is clearly inferior.
I find it hard to believe that Miles is that overrated... who rates him highly?

Of course Miles is overated but look at the other choices...Baron, Nash, Odom, Iverson....All those guys have been All-stars..Of course folks are going to pick Miles out of that group.

Ed? You know the answer to your question...Mr. Paul Allen. Or at least he used to, hopefully he has come to his senses by now.

Should that be the criterion for overrated? How an owner allegedly feels about one of his players?
Miles is overpaid, but less so than Theo Ratliff. Even assuming the overratedness of a player was based on the owner's feelings, that would seem to me that Theo is more overrated.
But whatever

I didn't say that makes it a criterion for a player being overrated...I simply answered your question about who rates Miles highly.
Allen was enamored with Miles...it clouded his vision in seeing Miles is clearly overrated and not worth the contract Allen gave him.

Not that many people think he's all that, I don't know why he's considered as being so overrated when he's not expected to do all that much.

Wrong.
Allen, allegedly, rated him highly only when compared o the ****ty players we had at the same same time. Hell...Miles is still arguably our best all-around player, so...how is Paul Allen wrong exactly?

Re: ESPN Poll: Darius Miles most overrrated player in NBA
how can they have nash or iverson on this list? Iverson was the sole reason for philly going to the finals and nash turned a lotto team into a 2 time division winner. How can they even mention these guys in the same breathe as darius miles? Miles could only dream to do what those 2 have done in the league. or maybe he would just complain and get someone else to do it for him.

Level of play is not solely determinative of whether a player is overrated. Iverson is considered by many to be on of the top 5 players in the game, when a clear analysis shows he's nowhere near. A similar argument can be made about Steve Nash.
