I don't know what they have to say, it makes no difference anyway, whatever it is, I'm against it!
No matter what it is or who commenced it, I'm against it!
Your proposition may be good, but let's have one thing understood, whatever it is, I'm against it! And even when you've changed it or condensed it, I'm against it!
I wouldn't mind seeing the Blazers actually run some plays for Martell and Travis. They both have pretty good overall offensive games, each with their own stregths... I'd just like to see them utilized a bit more instead of seeing Zach shoot 22 footers and having Viktor take shots with a second left on the clock.

Hey, game wasn't televised here in LA and I was just wondering how Vin Baker did? I mean, did he look in shape or comfortable in the Clippers rotation/offense?
Oh Jesus. First game I go to in about 4 years and the Blazers get stomped all over. My take of the game: There wasn't an official announcement why Darius Miles wasn't at the game. And me and my buddy were shocked when they announced Blake AND Dixon starting in the backcourt. And of course the crowd was empty. As usual. Even with all the free ticket giveaways, the place is still half-full.
I knew it was going to be an ugly game when Zach's first time touching the ball gets swatted from behind. And then his next shot is sent back by Brand. I felt that really set the tone for Zach's play throughout the whole game - he never did try once. Not on offense (where I only recall him hitting one shot) and on defense against Brand (where I recall him only putting his hands up on one shot attempt).
Viktor was pissing me off. I mean, yeah LA wasn't guarding him at all, and for good reason as he fumbled the ball a million times and missed every shot he took. And he's the guy we want backing up at PF for the future? I like his hustle, but he just looks completely lost.
Coach Mac - He was the wrong guy to bring here. He can't accept losing and it shows. He has no patience to coach these young guys and his rotations are semi-idiotic. He loves that small ball. I don't know how many times our guards were posted up against by Cassell, Livingston or Ross. It was just sad.
Webster - Impressive game. But he tends to float around on the three point line every possession. We obviously do need to run more plays for the kid. I dont remember seeing him come off a screen either.
Outlaw - The kid cannot hit a jump shot without taking a dribble first. And sadly, because of Coach Mac, he never got into a rythm in the first half. But in the second, he had the crowd going crazy.
Overall, ugly game. But I was surprised how many fans stayed until the end (except HAP, that bastid! ).
You know it seems like a lot of people take pot shots at Nate without even knowing what is really going on, which is kind of funny in way, sad in another.
How do you know Nate isn't looking to see who to trade and who to keep this summer? How do you know that Nate isn't trying to figure out who really belongs (of the possible keepers) in the rotation next year? How do you know that Nash/Patterson hasn't told him to play certain players to up their trade value before the summer???? You don't!
Nate is the best choice for where this team is right now and where it needs to go.

To answer your questions
1. Nate doesn't make trades, PatterNash does.
2. PatterNash used high lotto picks to draft Telfair and Webster and I can't imagine management would be too keen on bypassing them because they are young in favor of two average at best players
3. Playing players like Blake and Dixon at this point in the season will NOT raise their trade value
Nate is the absolute wrong coach for where this team is now. This team is athletic and young, Nate likes to walk the ball up. He is a .500 coach at best throughout his career and was about to fired in Seattle before they had 1 really good year.
Now why again is he the perfect coach?

1. Nate apparently is supposed to have some say in the trades that are being made.
2. So if Telfair and Webster are givens, then who is going to man the bench? It would make sense that he'd be trying to figure out whom he can utilize next season.
3. If their trade value is abysmally (sp) low, then yes it can. Besides, despite your obvious infatuation with Telfair's game, what makes you think they'll keep him? It's my summation that as soon as he becomes a FA he's gone to the East coast...
What proof do you have that Nate likes to walk the ball up? Are you positive that is his end-result style of play?
I won't even go into Nate's coaching history.
I'm just saying that many people are presuming they know all the facts. THEY DON'T. We all have opinions and I can tell from your postings you are incredibly frustrated with the team. We all are, except for those people who sold short.

To answer the quesiton about proof that Nate likes to walk the ball up the court all I have is this.
When he was first hired and I still lived in Portland I listened to the fan when they had several writers and media types from seattle on to talk about Nate. They all said that contrary to popular opinion, Nate does not like to run. One said his style is " hurry up and wait" Then watching the games this year it has proved to be fact......see our scoring average.
Telfair will leave for 3 reasons, and 3 reason's only.
1. More money
2. More playing time
3. Better style of play for him
He needs to be in an offense that pushes the ball.

Well, to be honest, I don't think I would've recognized him if the announcers hadn't pointed him out. He's thinner then I ever remember him being. That being said, he didn't really stand out with his play. Nor did he seem to be a liability.
