portland trades miles, theo and juan dixon to new york

ny trades us maurice taylor, jerome james, and q richardson.

Tis gives us alot of young guys in return, and taylor is a fa after next season. we do take on 3 and 4 years in richardson and james, but their salary combined matches what theo makes, and they put up twice the number on a team(knicks) that has to many players and not enough time. it also gives outlaw and kryapa all the time at the 3, gives us a big center who is still young and a 2 guard that is big in richardson who had a really good season with phoenix before being shipped out. I think this would be a good trade for us, as it wouldn't kill us down the road and the players we gets are still young and could become better if in a good system.

I dont like this deal. J.James is a bum with a a huge contract, and Q.Richardson has been anything but impressive since leaving the Suns, and thats considering that Richardson used to be one of my favorite players (when he was a Clipper).

jame's contracts isn't bigger then theo's and theo is the bum of all bums. I like this deal because we get 2 players for the price of one basically in q and james for theo, and their numbers combined equal more then theo will ever put up. Plus if joel leaves, that gives us theo as our only center along with ha. and taylor is a fa after next season, which frees up 9 million dollars and gets rid of miles.

why? I would take q rick over theo. So we have to take the bad with the good. I think james could be a good center for us. Theo is peanut brittle.

Patience. It's not reasonable to always expect a lot of answers on your posts, particularly if you wait less then 2 hours for them.

I don't like the trade. James is a complete waste. I'd rather hang on to Theo then take him on. Q-Rich for Miles is basically a wash. Mo is obviously just an expiring contract, but wouldn't be enough to allow us to sign a big FA. Not sold, primarily due to taking on James long contract.

kinda hard to block shots when you miss as many games as theo does. I am so sick of this guy collecting the most amount of money for our team and spends the most amount of time on the ir with wimpy injuries. I say take what we can get for him. At least james is young and could get better. Theo is what he is, a scrub.

so far, theo has missed 24 games. I say he will miss 30 for the season. he went from 85 games, to 63 to 52 games this season. what does that say for next season and the season after? Could he end up missing more games then he plays?For 30 games missed, that is 4.24 million dollars to sit on the bench, and another 7.4 million to put up 4.5 ppg, 5 boards and 1.5 blocks a game. Does that really sound like something we want on this team. I mean people get on zach, and he puts up 18.9 ppg plus 9 boards a game after coming back from micro surgery. Theo has a new injury every week.

for the team to get a crappy shooting SG who should be thanking god Steve Nash tricked NY into paying a 40% (and 35% from 3) shooter 40 million, a horribly overrated centre 30 million over 5 years and Maurice Taylor?

Richardson is a horrible shooter, James is horrible, and Maurice Taylor is Brian Skinner + 5 million.

Yah, that's a good idea. How exactly is that an improvement again? I know we want to trade Darius (and I guess Juan) but thats a horrendous trade.

You might not agree with this TT, but I think the Blazers can get more for Theo and Miles. I'm not saying they can land an all star, but I do think they could land an expiring contract. Q-Rich is overpaid, and iirc has a bum back.
