You do not know more than Nate, and I know that because I read your posts.

I never said I knew more than Nate. I disagree with how Nate runs the team. As you disagree with my posts. It's strictly a difference of opinion.
I guess my question to you would be how do you know that Nate is making those decisions? Maybe PatterNash IS telling him who to play. You really have no idea either.
Maybe I do know more than Nate. Again, you have no idea because all you do is differ from the way I think. Nothing wrong with that, just fact. I think Nate is an average coach at best. His record supports that.

I think you have been watching to many Telfair "Through the Fire" highlights..this is the NBA not run and gun HS ball. That style only works with a exceptional PG which we certainly don't have...in fact I can only think of a few teams lately in which that style has been effective, those being PHX with Steve Nash and NJ a few years back with J. Kidd. Telfair isn't remotely close to either of those guys.

You're right. Phoenix, Dallas prior to Avery Johnson both play exceptional defense

Re: Quote from NATE - "I WILL BE BACK"
I don't think it is smart--when developing a young team--to use a "free" system without teaching the guys the "right way to play first." & when you don't have outstanding 3 pt shooters, a PF or C that runs the floor & can play above the rim, or a PG that is always looking to push & find the open man, the concept of "run & gun" doesn't quite work. Also, running can result in a lot of TO's---the Sonics are "running" right now & the turnovers are just ridiculous, because they are constantly pushing the ball & often making errant passes. That's not the way Nate wants to teach these guys, I wouldn't think.

Re: Quote from NATE - "I WILL BE BACK"
Is there some reason you keep on throwing direct insults on the guy for stating his opinion? He did not say in any way that he was smarter then Nate. He said that he thought it was a better idea to play them more, which I agree with. I don't give a rats *** if you or Nate think its the right thing to do, the young players are the future of the team, and Juan "I never met a shot I didn't like" Dixon and Steve Blake are in it as backups, at best. So when the season has melted down to the point it has now where the games mean very little as there will be no playoffs, the young guys should be playing and getting experience, not held back so we can experience the wonderful growth of Dixon and Blake that isn't going to happen.
Secondly, I can solidly say over the last few games the young guys have EASILY out played Dixon and Blake. Scoring a bunch of points Dixon does from time to time does not make you a good player, all it shows is you have a knack for scoring. Maybe if Dixon wasn't playing so much 1 on 1 ball and jacking up every shot like it was his last, the other guys might have had some better stats then they did. Can Juan defend anybody? I doubt it, not at the NBA level.
Maybe if Blake, Dixon, Zbo Kryapa and Joel hadn't dug the Blazers double digit deficits in the beginning of each half of the last few games, and the younger players who played them to a standstill, the Blazers might have won a few of those games.

Portland plays poor defense though (Read: below average).
If Portland's current squad tried to run on other teams, they'd increase the likelyhood of being blown out. For a team that gets blown out under normal circumstances, I'll stick with Nate's philosophy for the time being.

Is that all I do?
I've read your posts, not just in this thread. I remember your name because I remember other times that you posted strong opinions that include wrong information to back it up.
I'll admit that I immediately think anyone who says they know more than Nate is wrong, and I won't consider otherwise. And besides the fact that I think Nate is a better coach than anyone who posts at bbb.net, I think anyone who says that they are a better coach than Nate is an idiot. You sir, are that idiot today. Congrats!

My sarcastic point was that pre AJ dallas and Phoenix aren't known for their defensive stops.

I think there was a little more to his statements than that, but maybe I was reading between the lines.

I have never said I was a better coach than Nate. You Sir are simply trying to pick a fight. I do not agree with the style Nate chooses to run in Portland. I do nat agree with multiple starting line-ups. I do not agree with benching a player because he wasn't the first one to practice. I do not agree with pulling our young guys after one or two mistakes, but letting other players coast through games after multiple mistakes. I have a difference in opinion from Nate. I do not think he is a good coach....see his record....I don't think he was the right choice for this team. I never said I was a better coach than him. I tend to post information that isn't always accurate but always appologise for it when I'm shown that. So stop being such a petty little **** and get over yourself.
I DON'T LIKE NATE. THAT'S IT.

And my non-sarcastic point was that Dallas and Phoenix were at least average defensively. Portland is below average.

All Nate would have to do is implement a trapping defense and portland would be not only more fun to watch, but harder to beat.

You are WACK! They would be lucky to win 10 games.
