Re: Jermaine might be on the block
When I say I would rather have him than KG, im taking into account the price it would cost. To get KG, we would definatley have to give up our 1st rounder this season and Telfair along with Outlaw, Zach and other pieces. Same basically goes for Pierce and any other remotley avaliable "superstar".
I simply think that getting JO would cost less than any other great player that could be consitered avaliable.

Re: Jermaine might be on the block
The OBVIOUS trade is staring us in the face, but we don't see it because it wouldn't involve us. It's Jermaine to Minny for Garnett. If O'Neal is on the block, he's one of the very few who might approach the value of Garnett to Minnesota ("approach" is right - I don't think he's close, but he's certainly popular) and he's younger. And imagine Indiana with Garnett! (The fact that they'd be obviously better tells you all you need to know about Jermaine.)
This trade works: Garnett and Jaric for O'Neal and Croshere (just because Minny would like to unload the 5-year contract of Jaric and Croshere only has 1 year left).

Re: Jermaine might be on the block
I also think that is a trad that could go down. I see Indiana including a 1st rounder though. Put KG on that Indiana team and they could be special.
PG- Tinsley
SG- Jackson
SF- Peja
PF- KG
C- Foster
Easily the best team KG has ever had IMO.

Gill's better than he's given credit for. Last year, he was actually a solid player when he was able to play. I wouldn't be surprised to see him flourish on a team that needs a backup PG.

Gill - 2004-05: 14mpg - 1-of-3 shooting - 1.1apg - 0.8 turnovers ...
... not so good. All 3 Portland PGs are better than him, and all 3 are getting better.

I hate stats. They don't show much, especially for guys fighting for playing time. One of Gill's problems is that he constantly tries to get on the stat sheet, so he jacks unnecessary shots at the ends of games. He had some good games last year when he was the backup PG for us.

From the NY TIMES:
Quote:
The Pacers are inclined to re-sign Peja Stojakovic and would listen to trade offers for O'Neal.
"Obviously, we have to make moves and, in talking to the organization, we will make moves," O'Neal said.

You're showing obvious symptoms of underdogitis. Guys don't get PT because they show, usually clearly, that they're not as good as the guy above them in practice.
Then, Eddie Gill works his butt off in his cumulative 8 minutes per game over the last two seasons and wins the heart of everyone in Indianapolis.
He's not worth Jack in a trade though (or Blake, or Telfair).

I'm guessing he set up a rep-padding thread somewhere, where the person gives rep to the previous poster.
Rep is almost as silly as the points... what am I going to do with 100,000,000 points?

I dunno... it seems like something on the site's rep-calculating algorithm has changed in the past few weeks. It almost seems that rep points have started increasing on an exponential rather than linear basis... My rep points (which lag far, far behind Zindane's!) have increased by almost 10x just from getting one new rep. Very odd.
