Jermaine might be on the block
Do we make a run at him using Zach as our bait? Would the Pacers consider? O'Neal's injury problems may be of concern.

Re: Jermaine might be on the block
interesting that on that page, they have a couple articles about Paul Allen not being interested in buying the Sonics.
Of course I guess you could say that he's not allowed to say he's interested.

If it can be done without giving up the pick then I am all for it..Jermaine's injuries concern me and I would hate to give up a top 3 draft pick for him at this point.
If he did come I hope they would move him to PF...a frontline of JO and Przy would be simply nasty.
This assumes we re-sign Joel of course.

Re: Jermaine might be on the block
Pull the trigger. He would solve a lot of Blazer problems and be a guy who is well liked in the town. You never have to worry about Jermaine bringing his hard hat to work.

With Tinsley and Anthony Johnson as the 2 PG's on that team...Is that a team that a Package of Randolph and say...Blake, be appealling to?

Re: Jermaine might be on the block
If we can get him, we better try our hardest. Zach+Blake+Outlaw+Det. 1st rounder+future 1st rounder due after 2007 for Jermaine? Thats alot to give up but I would gladly do it.

Re: Jermaine might be on the block
I think it would take more than that. Jermaine is vastly better than Zach, even if their numbers this season are kinda identical. I expect Indiana to offer Jermaine and fillers to Minnesota for KG this offseason, and we would have to up that offer.

But why on earth would Indy want to trade Jermaine for Z-Bo? Jermaine is just better.
It's unlikely they'd want anything to do with Miles, both because Miles looks like crap lately and because they've already got better players (Jackson and Peja) filling the swingman positions.
What would Indy be looking to improve? Center and PG, I guess...
So I'm sure they would demand, in any deal based around Z-Bo and O'Neal, that we throw in some combination of our lotto pick, one of our point guards (and I bet they'd demand Rock or Scissors rather than Paper, unfortunately), and/or Theo.
Best-Case Scenario:
Zach/Theo/Jack for O'Neal/Croshere
Worst-Case Scenario
Zach/Telfair/Top-5 Pick for O'Neal
If I'm Portland, I'd think about doing the first option there, although it would be hard to give up on Jack. There's no way in hell I'd do the second scenario, and I bet that's a lot closer to what Indy would be asking for.
In short... I don't think this is going to happen.

Very doubtful.

Jasikevicius...and Gill. Not to mention Freddie's PG minutes. We have more than enough help at the PG. Really, if the Pacers trade Jermaine, we definitely need a PF back. Then we have the Peja issue, so an extra SF would be nice. We're also lacking a 3rd string SG, but Jackson and Jones manage to stay healthy.
