2005 Draft; a look back

I was looking back at last years Draft and noticed that out of the top 10 selected - MOST were productive for their teams this year.

1. Bogut - Milwaukee (starter at PF)
2. M. Williams - Atlanta - ???
3. D. Williams - Utah (starter at PG)
4. Paul - NO/OKL (starter at PG and likely ROY)
5. Felton - Charlotte (late season starter at SG)
6. Webster - Portland - (late season starter at SG)
7. Villanueva - Toronto - ???
8. Frye - NYK - (contributor before injury mid season)
9. Diogu - GSW - (late season starter at PF)
10. Bynum - LAL - ???

This reflects really good scouting IMO - almost all these players HAVE contributed or will in the future. I don't think any of us would predict that M Williams is a bust - he's just not ready to help his team yet. Same with Bynum. I don't know how much Villanueva played or helped Toronto, although I know he played for them all season.

At this point - the only one I'd guess would move up if draft could be re-done would be Chris Paul - but only a spot or two. Frye also could warrant moving up a spot or three.

Otherwise - so far - draft well done. I'm really happy with MW and JJ for us.

I'd say that those guys both had good late parts to their season. didn't Villanueva score like 48 this year?

As for Marvin, I think he ended the season strong, like Webster did.

This seems to be the most common thread topic of late.

My apologies, but Fall Camp is too far off for me. And this is about LAST year's draft not the one coming up. Please just ignore the thread next time - I won't be asking what to post!
