Re: ESPN Lottery Team Survey

Well....I answered my own question

Utah (4) - .494
NO/OK (3) - .469
Philly (5) - .463
Orlando (1) - .439
Seattle (11), Houston (2), Golden State (7)- .420
Minny (13) - .407
Boston (6)- .402
Toronto (7)- .333
Charlotte (10), ATL (7) - .317
NY (12)- .280
Us! (14) - .259

A few numbers (Seattle's, Bostons, Toronto's, and Atlanta's) look oddly out of place...but for the MOST part, it follows a basic trend I think. I dont care enough to chart it.....but....there you go.

Actually I have watched him many times.... so thanks for that. But you are wrong. I have watched him play and I have heard all of the hoopla. I just don't see it. He is a solid player, but I don't beleive he is a future Superstar. You have to remember, Zidane used Krstic in the same sentence as D. Howard, Bosh and others. That comparison is just not there. As soon as Krstic can become at least an adequate defender come back to me.

Krstic is the furthest thing from soft. Soft is about a state of mind. Krstic is tough as nails. Now, he's weak at this point, for sure, but only a fool confuses weak w/ soft. Krstic gets beat on all the time and he just keeps coming back for more and more and more. That's not soft.

Don't get me wrong, I like Krstic. I would like to have him here on the Blazers in fact. The problem is that he is not going to be a freaking superstar like people keep making him out to be. I haven't seen him play god enough defense to be in the mold of Ilgauskas....now Vlade....he had the flopping defense which was pretty damned effective. I see Krstic ending up similar to Mehmet Okur, without quite as much range. Which is still a good player....but not a player you put in the same sentence as D. Howard or Chris Bosh.

Krstic is nothing like Okur.

Re: ESPN Lottery Team Survey

God, I guess I will have to think twice before I ever mention a Nets player on the BLAZERS board. I appreciate you guys trying to make your case or whatever... but seriously, this is the Blazers board and I am allowed to have my own opinion. This is what bothers me about Krstic. It is the undying love by Nets fans. Anybody, anywhere says one thing about him and Blam.....it is an attack.
I have watched him play, and these are my opinions. so thanks.
Peace

Re: ESPN Lottery Team Survey

What, Nets fans can't post on other boards? We make a thread about Bassy, and Blazers fans come over and chat. I don't see any harm. This is a forum.

That's not exactly what I was trying to say. I guess I didn't word it all that well.
No, the Blazers board in general would love to have people feel free to come over and chat, especially since sometimes, we run out of things to talk about. I just feel like I am allowed my opinion on Krstic. I have honestly watched him play about 20-30 times this season and I am quite familiar with his game. I like him, like I said, but I just don't put as much value on him as some others do. What I was surprised about was that within 5 minutes or so of posting something about Krstic, there were about 5 posts by Nets fans calling me an ***, basically. It was just a bit overwhelming....

Re: ESPN Lottery Team Survey

Are Nets fans seriously arguing that Krstic is a prospect at the same level of Paul and Bosh?

That was a bad argument on my part.Krstic is a good prospect but after thinking about that he isin't on the same level.Krstic might even be the best center in 4 years.SHAQ will be gone,zo,illgauskas i think.I consider bosh and howard pfs.

Re: ESPN Lottery Team Survey

Bottom line is just because he isnt as good as Howard or Bosh doesnt make him a bad player. Thats like saying just because Kobe is the best scorer in the league, then there arent other good scorers out there.
