OT: Today's (Kobe) Funny
From The Racine Times:
Quote:
You probably remember how Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, in response to Phoenix guard Raja Bell having thrown him to the floor during their playoff game last Tuesday night, quipped that Bell probably wasn’t hugged enough as a child.
After Game 7 of the series, when the Suns humbled the Bryant-led Lakers 121-90, I was told Bryant, as he dejectedly walked from the locker room to a post-game media conference, was approached by a woman who said, “You look like someone who could use a hug.’’
The woman? Bell’s mother.

Re: OT: Today's (Kobe) Funny
Hilarious!
It is also reported, BTW, that it was Kobe Bryant who told his teammates not to stay and shake hands with the Suns.
I'm not a hockey fan, but one hockey tradition I always liked was after the game when the players would skate into two lines with teams facing each other and shake hands.

That's because hockey is a man's sport. Only in basketball do they allow women to compete with men. I mean, if they didn't, Kobe Bryant would be relegated to the WNBA.
What an ***, telling his teammates not to shake hands with the Suns. It just goes to show you that when Kobe was talking that smack about Bell, he was really reflecting on what he doesn't like about himself. The boy needs therapy.

Let's all take the high ground and on 3.......GROUP HUG FOR KOBE!
Perhaps this gives Phil another opportunity to give Kobe a book to read...I'm thinking something along the lines of The Hug Therapy Book by Keating....
Peace

Obviously, PrideofClyde doesn't watch the Olympics. Had he done so, he would have seen the US women winning a gold medal in hockey. And shaking hands with their opponents.
Kobe Bryant would be unwelcome in the WNBA for a lot of reasons. First, he is too much of a jerk. Second, he can't be trusted around women (although I'd love to see someone like Yolanda Griffiths or Cheryl Ford or Tina Thompson give him what he so richly deserves). Third, the crowd who goes to WNBA games would boo him off the court.

Re: OT: Today's (Kobe) Funny
Hard to tell if it's a "joke" when a lot of men write such foolishness in all seriousness.
Actually, it might be fun to see Kobe Bryant introduced at a WNBA game, just to hear the response.

As a man, I resemble that remark.

Come to think of it, is anyone else seeing parallels between Bryant and Barry Bonds?

Re: OT: Today's (Kobe) Funny
As it relates to this "maybe he didn't get enough hugs growing up", or what ever it was ... I keep waiting for some of you in either of the threads to draw this parallel ...
WHOSE MOTHER HAS COMPLETELY DROPPED HIM FROM THE FAMILY?
Kobe is the very last person that should be speaking about family love and attention after what he did to his family.
It's been more than 5 years since we have seen or heard anything from Kobe's Mom. That was after the cameras being focused on her and the sisters at EVERY game until Kobe put them out of his house.
Raja should have come back ... but, 'I HAVE a mother to love even if she didn't give me enough hugs'.

Re: OT: Today's (Kobe) Funny
I didn't think it possible that something could make me laugh louder than watching the Suns club the Lakers like a baby seal. Thank you, Mrs. Bell, I haven't laughed that hard in years.
