This game restored my faith in basic fairness.
Officials tried to pull off a sickening theft and Minnesota still won.
What heart.

Charles is keeping it real on the post-game.
"The refs sucked tonight."

its gotten so bad, it brings up legitimacy questions about all 3 of the Lakers championships *
I think from now on you just have to put an asterisk* next to anytime you refer to LA as champions*

Last year you guys beat on me about conspiracy theories, after tonight can anyone not agree that LA and the Stern lead NBA are the frontrunners? This game was tragic!
The Wolves had the basketball gods watching out for them tonight, cause the refs were in the Lakers pocket!

Pardon me if I vent in here --- Ron's going to ban me anyway regardless of where I vent, but ... I've been screaming about this since PJ arrived in LA, that this is all fixed and scripted to draw the media to LA where the chosen "stars" are. I had hoped after the WCF debacle last year that things wouldn't be so blatant for the Lakers. But, it's just unbelieveable that they don't care what true fans want, honest competition.
The only difference now, and team have known what was going on for years but can't afford to say anything. The only difference now is, teams have decided that they are going to continue to play through the bad calls and let the chips fall where they may, which is what happened tonight.
I've always preached, that ALL of these players are competitive, want to earn their pay and want to win just like the Lakers and it is totally unfair to have it taken away from them. So they give up understanding that they are in a no-win situation. And some wonder why players don't always come to play OR they're injured so easily. WHY give up your body when they already know who the winner is.
I'm just so proud of KG and the TWolves that I just don't know how to really congratulate them.

I watched the Minny-LA game last night and wanted to come here to vent after the game, but didn't.
The officiating was absolutely frickin' ridiculous!!
Were these the same refs that handed the Lakers game six of the WCF last year??
These officials should NOT be allowed to work another game in the playoffs this year. Period. No excuse for such bias towards one team.

I have one way you can "congratulate them": Go to the TWolves forum and post away so that more TWolves fans will come out of their hiding places.

I am going to swing a ton of my posts the TWolves way!
We should all nominate the Wolves as a CO-Team for our fan Base!

woah woah woah..let's not put the cart before the horse here. We all know that the Laker can come back and still win this series. No point in gloating before the series is even over.
Let's wait till the end of the series before we join the timberwolves bandwagon (as congratulatory fans I mean).

As I've stated before: any team playing the Lakers is my second-favorite NBA team. So right now: good for the Wolves.
But with that said, there's no way that I am going to root for the Wolves if they make it past the Lakers somehow...

Really? If it comes down to the Spurs vs. the Wolves in round 2, I'll be cheering for Minnesota all the way. But that's just a matter of personal preference.

I knew when I got home I'd see a thread like this.
I have to tell you, watching the game last night was the closest I've ever come to literally stopping watching the NBA.
I sat watching and grew sickened as I watched the officials decide it was time to have LA win.
While I don't and won't subscribe to any conspiracy theories, the officiating coupled with the late start of one of the NBA's marque teams certainly gives one food for thought.
