It was an AWESOME win for the entire NBA. The Lakers have a series on their hands and now everyone is holding their collective breaths whenever Horry touches the ball.

The refs were HORRIBLE, but the good thing is I can blame and despise the Lakers more for it!

Anybody else think that Magic and Charles each owe KG an apology for their comments last year? Or at least a public admission of "he's become the kind of player that we said last year that he should be."
KG would actually get votes from me for Most Improved Player. Not because of an amazing statistical improvement, but because he's simply a different player this year. He seems to have taken all the criticism that he got last spring and used it as motivation. He worked harder last summer and seems to have also worked at focusing himself. He no longer fades out at the end of important games - instead, he's become quite the clutch player, getting the baskets, assists and rebounds that the Wolves need at the important moments of games.
Too bad that the Blazers' PF doesn't seem to have what it takes to do the same thing.

KG can definitely get an apology from me, or a "He's become the player that I felt he should be."
Up until this year, I felt KG was worse than Wallace, in the fourth quarter, regarding passive play. He never seemed to take the mantle, and the ball, in the fourth quarter of playoff games.
This season, this series, it's been a wholly different Garnett. He's determined to do everything he can, determined to will his team to victory.
KG has taken the step Wallace hasn't even begun to take...the desire and effort to dominate games and carry a team on his back. KG could very well take over the title as "Best Power Forward" from Duncan. I've always felt KG was more athletic and talented than Duncan (who is extremely talented himself)...but Duncan was more the reliable go-to guy. That's changing.

at this point I'd say Garnett is the better player.
wally world has been pretty forgettable, and although Hudson is having a great series, decent, fast PG's always do well against LA.
but this series so far is all about Kevin Garnett. at 28 points, 6 assists and 16 boards a game, he's easily the best player in the playoffs. and that's before you even get to his defense.
considering what Pierce, McGrady, Iverson, Kobe, Shaq and Duncan have been doing, that is really saying something.
