The Blazers are still alive, they may be down 0-3 but they are still alive. If any team can come back from an 0-3 deficit it's the Blazers. They may be down their entire starting back court but that's why they are deep, so they can compensate for such catastrophic injuries. If the Blazers win tonight which I think they will, they have a chance at making history. They need their fans to support them; the last thing they need is to be booed. As much as I love the Rose Garden it has turned into a soft arena, probably the softest in the NBA, and that?s sad.
I am not one to use shoulda coulda woulda's a lot but it is called for here. The Blazers would have won game one if they made their free throws, Game two was stolen by the refs, and game 3 the Mavs shot lights out. With out there best shooter on the team i.e. DA they could not overcome an early run that the Mavs went on in game three. So this series could very easily be 2-1 in favor of the Blazers. But it's not and they have a very difficult but achievable task ahead of them. It's one game at a time from now on. Let's hope they can make history, like AD said today there is a first for everything.
Sheed needs to be on Dirk 100% of the time no Bonzi or Stoudamire. He is the only one that can slow him down with exception to Patterson. The Blazers need to play straight up man to man and don't switch on the pick and roll. It may be unlikely but the Blazers can win this series, and I would not be surprised if they did. With a win tonight the Blazers would start getting their swagger back and if they do that there is no telling what will happen.
What the Blazers have to do is be physical like they were in Game one and Game two. They need to inhale every rebound, attack the basket, and play the defense they are capable of. If they do that they win. Just a side note that has nothing to do with the game. Bill Walton is a piece of dog crap, if you are a Blazers fan you know why I make this statement.
