The 30 and 31 picks are odd, but the rest is possible (although not probable). If Morrison has a poor showing athletically, and people are concerned about his diabetes, then he could slip like that. I do agree that it is unlikely that Portland would pass on Morrison to take Roy.

I wouldn't be surprise at all if Morrison is available and Portland passes on him. Unless they get Aldridge or Bargnani I'd be really pissed. Of course if we don't pick him he'll end up being a legend and Roy a back up all his career.

Not as bad as another mock I saw a couple of days ago - I believe from Rivals (can't seem to find it again....). This one had the Blazers taking Marcus Williams at #4. Yeah, that would make a LOT of sense....

One spot of wisdom on that mock is they have JJ Redick going higher than most other mocks.

You have to figure JJ will at least be another Jeff Hornacek, probably better, and Hornecek had a sucessful 14 year carrer.

What's wrong with that? It's not like Sean May is exactly a world beater. And most good teams have three solid big men anyway. I could easily see them taking Tyrus "Don't call me TT" Thomas and down the road having a three man rotation with Okafur starting at center, May starting at power forward and Tyrus Thomas coming off the bench to relieve who ever needs it first.

They obviously value atheletesism (sp?) over all else. Look at all the guys taken ahead of him. They're all phenominal atheletes. Maybe they're expecting those guys to tear him up in work outs.

They're probably wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

I can't believe you're getting upset about the 30th and 31st picks in a May Mock draft. Most mock drafts don't factor in team need 'til mid June.

You pick the best available player. Portland should have learned its lesson by picking Bowie over Jordan which was need over talent, they did it again last year picking Webster over Paul. Portland should pick the best talent because right now they have no talent, the reason why they finished with the worse record in the league last year.
