Zach Randolph
Became the 4th Blazer in playoff history to score 25 and grab 15 joining Jerome Kersey,Bill Walton, and Maurice Lucas. Way to be Zach, YOU are our PF of hte future and probably our pf of the present. Zach is awesome, he loves hanging around the basket, and Colin Cowherd said it best on Sports Sunday, good rebounders like Zach hardly ever have off nights because they are always lingering around the !

LOL exactly, Sheed who,, jus playin , but I am excited that we actually have a PF who loves to play in the paint!
Still got love for Sheed, but it just seems like he and the Blazers just aren't working out,and it is a shame to, oh well, lets just that he can step it up and play up to his talent level on Wednesday.

As many of you know, I am not a big believer in Zach Randolph. Game 4 was a big step in changing my mind about him. 25 pts and 15 rebs is impressive. But - Dallas did not keep their starters in after the game got out of reach so I believe his numbers are a little padded - but not a lot.
So, I am starting to come around and believe Zach could really turn out to be a good player, if not great, player.

I love Zach's potential! He is really going to be a great player in the NBA! If he started next year, getting 30+ minutes a game, I can DEFINITELY see him averaging at least 21 and 11 for the season! He certainly has caught my eye!
Good pick, Trader Bob! You draft well!

Ya think Zach has been told that Sheed is on the way out? Are we infact seeing our new starting PF? It has to make you wonder with the kind of minutes he's getting in a must win game.

I think we're getting a taste of what could be next year...
Sheed and Zach in the same starting lineup. I like this a lot! I thought they were both very effective. Sheed occasionally went into the post and commanded a lot of attention, often scoring easily, and Zach spent a lot of time down low and working the glass. Between the two of them and Dale, we constantly had a presence down low... a lot of Zach's best post-ups were fed to him by Sheed from the high post as well.
I know we'd all like to see Sheed down low more, but if he just spends a quarter of his time down low and the rest as a perimeter threat it would be okay with Zach in there. Also, Sheed is invaluable on the defensive end.
The way Sheed is playing these days, I think he could be a very effective small forward against most teams. I suppose it depends on the team that we end up with, but I would love to see some sort of starting 5 that featured both Sheed and Zach.
Cheers

Sheed was one of 4 or 5 featured in a commercial promotion to buy season tickets for next season. I wonder if this is an indicator of whether he'll stay?

While I haven't given in and completely admitted I was wrong - yet... I will do so if I feel Zach really has proven me wrong.
I don't mind admitting I am not right all the time! I know it is hard to believe being as outspoken as I am!

Just remember, we couldn't have won without Sheed scoring 23 points out of position.

Does anyone know how Sheed would feel about playing the "3"? I believe he's more suited to the SF position. He likes playing outside and he has pretty good quickness. I have my doubts that he would like to cover most SF's though.

Memo to Mo
You need to start game 4 line up again. Do not change anything until the Mavs show any sign knwing how to stop it.
I pray Damon has 3 more games like Sunday night. It was a pleasure watching him penetrate and dish off. He should have 5 more assists if we could finish with the foul.
Game 5, Please take an extra second or two on the freethrow line and MAKE YOUR FT

Rasheed has played the 3 before and I think he can play there again. What a huge lineup we could have next year...
PG - Pippen 6'7''
SG - Wells 6'5"
SF - Wallace 6'10"
PF - Randolph 6'9"
C - Davis 6'11"
That's not bad. Hypothetically... Trade Dale for Z and you have a guy 7'3" as our center. NICE

He had 6 points at the half. 20 points after 3. It sure felt like Zach's National Coming-out Party last night. How he can power through 3 guys to collect the rebound, reset and make a layup was something to see. The PF of the future, Rasheed: welcome to playing Center (cuz you don't have the discipline to play the 3, IMHO).
