Call me jaded...
...but I am just not holding my breath for any positive, earthshaking news involving the Blazers anymore. At least not until Patterson is shown the door. This franchise is so terrified of making the wrong move that, more often than not, they prefer to make no moves at all.
Wake me up when something happens. I need a good, long nap.

I'd guess you better stay awake a little while longer. There is no reason in the world why a great move couldn't happen under Patterson. The Blazers know changes must be made, and I think they're going to make some big ones.

Translation: Patterson played a lot of golf today, and then went barhopping with a couple of call girls.

You're so wise, Hap. You've always got an answer. I respect that, I really do.

Yeah, I'd say he is quite a wise guy!
Seriously, though, I don't expect any major moves. Darius will be moved and we might move up a little in the draft, but I think our roster will look very similar to what it did at the end of last year, plus one or two new rookie players.

I always got the answer to the easy, poorly thought out "questions".

And depending on who those new rookies are, I'd at least credit them with major changes, if not exactly "moves." Simply having any of last year's various starting line-ups with Gay or Morrison in there and Miles out would be fairly significant. That said, I'm not convinced they'll manage to con anyone into taking Miles.

Re: Call me jaded...
I think if we move Darius Miles it is big news. Getting that attitude out of here is a big step for the Blazers, you can not have the attitude around a team and not expect it to cause problems. Of course if we have to give up too much to get that guy out of town, then it becomes bad news, but still big news.
