There has been a lot of speculation about what Nate really thinks about Roy. Most of it appears to be speculation based on what Nate has said that he likes in a player. This may have been posted before, but here are the words directly from his mouth:

This certainly doesn't lable Roy as a must have by Nate, but shows that Nate does respect his game. I guess my point is that we don't really know if Nate is extremely high on Roy, or if he just thinks he is a solid player, but wouldn't fit on the current team. So maybe we can stop saying that Roy is a must have (me included) and we can also not assume that Roy is a long shot. Roy is just a pawn in the NBA draft pool.

I think Nate said about as much as he ever does when talking about players: not much. When it comes to talking about particular players or situations, Nate is very much a politician in that he says a lot without really saying anything.

Give it a rest, MM. The guy has had one year to coach an abysmal team. Even your coach of coaches Ivaroni couldn't have made us anywhere near playoff contention.

At least give the guy another 2 or 3 months before you pass judgment, sentence, and execution.
