Upcoming Workouts
Now the top guys are coming in
All I can say is June 15th...WOW...
via Portland Tribune:
June 15: Brandon Roy, Adam Morrison, Rudy Gay, Hassan Adams.
June 17: LaMarcus Aldridge, Patrick O'Bryant - seperate workouts
June 18: Tyrus Thomas
June 19: Rodney Carney, Ronnie Brewer, JJ Reddick (iffy)
Quote:
A potential No. 1 pick, 6-11 power forward Andrea Bargnoni, is involved in the playoffs with his Italian pro team. If his team is eliminated — that could as early as this weekend — the Blazers hope to have him in for a workout.
Connecticut guard Marcus Williams and Duke forward Shelden Williams aren’t yet scheduled, “but we’re going to have conversations about them,” Patterson says.

On June 18, Louisiana State freshman Tyrus Thomas is tentatively set to work out against players not yet signed up.

Foye was supposed to be the 4th, not Adams. I think seeing how Roy could handle defending Foye would've been interesting considering many seem to think he can play the point at times. Oh well, regardless this is the one to keep an eye on.

Re: Upcoming Workouts
If Foye bagged the workout-could that mean he has a promissary from a team?

My Guess is Portland simply is more interested in seeing Adams since he will be on board in the 30-31 range. He also athletically is a better match up for Gay.

Re: Upcoming Workouts
The fact that Aldridge is coming in makes me think that Portland has conviced the agents that they have a realistic chance of moving into the top two. I don't see Aldridge working out for Portland if the agents believed they were stuck at 4. But, you never know. Maybe the Green thing last year put a scare in some agents.

Well either that or Aldridges agent thinks he could fall to 4, which if you believe some of the more legit rumors, could very well happen.
Bargnani @1 to Toronto? Well the Raptors did hire Andrea's GM from Italy.
Thomas @2 to Chicago? Well according to Tyrus this is the case.
Would Charlotte take Aldridge?

Charlotte has is Okafor/Brezec at C and May/Ely/Baxter at PF. They also have a couple decent SFs, with Wallace leading the way. They could use a guard to go with Felton, but would they take Roy at #3? I think they take Aldridge and keep him or trade down and get a good guard to go with Felton. Having said that three is very close to 4, so Aldridge wouldn't want to take it for granted.

Re: Upcoming Workouts
I wish we could see Aldridge go up against O'Bryant.
