I can't wait until the draft is over too! But then we just enter another stage. Everytime someone does well that we didn't draft we'll hear about it!

I'm not sure that's true. There will be an occasional "JR Smith is kicking butt" thread, but there have been two consistent gripes on this board from the last two drafts:

1. Telfair was a reach/Jefferson would have been a better pick, and
2. Missing out on Chris Paul was a huge mistake

Both of those things are rooted in rather extensive discussion from BEFORE the drafts. Each of the two gripes (especially #2) have had extensive evidence supporting them, and given that Telfair still hasn't managed to capture a starting job on the NBA's worst team, #1 is still around and kicking, too.

We might have a similar situation with this draft if Portland passes on Morrison, or if there's some sort of groundswell for support of another player in the next two weeks on the board. But as it is right now, I think that most of us non-Morrison supporters aren't really leaning one way or the other. Again that might change in the next two weeks, but I don't see the criticisms of the last two drafts being lingering to the same extent with this one.

Re: Why not be objective?

Isn't this a discussion board?

I know I am new to your site, but if one of yo uwas adamantly defending Rudy Gay as the pick....I certainly wouldn't mind it.

I am amazed that people feel the need to "tune out" because they are disheartened about a silly draft discussion.

At the end of the day, aren;t we all fans of the team? Haven't each of you taken a turn adamantly defending Randolph, or Telfair, or whomever? I am reasonably assure this is true.

Lastly, I don't know who the "defend their guy even though they don't know anything about him" stuff came from, but as you can tell from my avatar...I am (yes it is true) a ZAG.

I have seen Morrison play 12 times this season. Nine times last season. Nine times the season before. Am I biased? Damn straight!

Am I qualified to give AN OPINION on someone I have seen play LIVE 30 times in 3 years? More than virtually anyone on this board.

So...in closing, sorry you don't like the Morrison support. I am amazed that anybody would expect anything else from a discussion board of fans talking about what they want for their team.

Re: Why not be objective?

Give your opinion, thats what these boards are for, what I was bothered by was people not listening to logic. You may disagree with it, but listen to others and provide reasons for your argument.

For example you might say "Morrison will do better in real NBA competition where he will be able to play 5 on 5, which plays plays to his strengths because he can play team D but not one on one D."

But I bothered by the posts that sound more like this "Morrison is better then Gay, quicks a dolt"

I never said Quick is a dolt. I like him. I like the KFXX guys too (except for COwherd because he is whiny).

I have never said that Morrison is better than Gay without backing it either. My posts have all been singing the praise of Morrison and what he can do on and off the court in this community.

I threw a barb out about Roy in Jest and somebody about blew their lid.
