With DA out..

has Bonzi gone back to his more natural 2 spot? IF so does that mean he's on Finley? Would he be better at the three to abuse Raef with foot speed and get him in foul trouble early? So if SHeed is at the three on Raef is Zach on Dirk now or is Bonzi on Dirk with the switch?

We need Bonzi at the 2 so we can have Sheed and Zach on the floor at the same time, and of course along with Yega/MAS Dale

Don't ya also think Sheed could go to center and draw Shawn or Najera out and then act like Sabas commanding the team from the top of the key? That would take some of that lumber out of the middle and give Zach better one on one match ups right under the hoop!

It doesn't really matter what "actual" posistion Sheed is playing, as long as he is being agressive, and keeping the floor spread while knocking down a few 3's..........that would clear up the lane for Z-Bo and Yeja/MAS Dale

I think Bonzi at the 2 defensively is a lot better than AD at the 2 defensively... Finley had a very good start to Game 5, but he generally can't post Wells up nearly as easily as AD and will have a tougher time shooting over Bonzi than he does AD.

Offensively, I think that Dallas's zone is making driving from the perimeter more difficult. RP's been able to get to the basket, but he's been starting inside the first layer of defense, and taking it the last ~18 feet or so to the bucket.

Because of this, and because I'm not sure that Bonzi will be guarded by Dirk or Raef straight-up, having Davis to crash the boards and Rasheed and ZR at the forward spots seems to be the best idea (which is, fortuntately, what Cheeks is going with).

Quick passing and cutting breaks the zone! Portland just can't stand around tonight. Even if they miss their shots breaking the zone, they'll get the calls which in the 4th quarter will be the game breaker. If Portland plays aggressive they'll have several Mavs fouled out by the fourth quarter and Zach and Sheed can play catch on the high/low!
