After the 4th pick...
Who ELSE do you want to see Portland select. What's your dream scenario?
My biggest wish this draft day is...Ronnie Brewer. (Of guys that I think we realistically have a chance to get.)
I'm starting to become 'okay' with us picking Adam Morrison, which I'm assuming will happen. Yeah, I think he'll score some points. He's got some nice intensity. He has the moustache of a 14 year old boy. But he can't play defense.
Ronnie Brewer makes that all better in my opinion. I think he can defend just about anyone on the perimeter. In my mind, he's got a great chance to be the next Ron Artest with better passing and without the bag full of crazy. And I mean offensively AND defensively. I could see him scoring 18-20 ppg, getting 6-8 rebounds and shutting down the best defender on the other team every night. I think we need to do anything and everything we can to pick this guy up. With as many high picks as there are out there on the market, I'd have to think there's a way we could get him.
So, what second player on the board would make your day?

Re: After the 4th pick...
My dream scenario is that the Blazers select NONE with the #30 & #31. I'd prefer those picks were packaged together with Miles and shipped on a slow boat to NO/OK or someplace like that. I don't want them to add more bench quality players onto the team. I'd prefer we stay with our current roster rather than add another 3 yr guarantee for the #30.

30 and 31 to NJ for Alexander Johnson.
An athletic, active PF who has greatly improved over the last 2 seasons at Florida State. He is great alternative to Zach at the 4 and would work well with Bassy running the break.
He also has some good post moves and should transition well to the NBA.

That's what I've been saying to my friends. That we package the 30/31 for the 23 and take Johnson. Great backup for Zach.

Re: After the 4th pick...
My draft day prayer is to get Aldridge, Gay and Brewer or Roy
this is accomplished by our #4 or higher pick, then packaging players to get a #5-8 pick, then moving some more players and draft picks to get in the 10-15 range
this almost certainly means moving Randolph, Miles, hopefully Dixon and a few other players, picks, cash.. to get ur dun'

Re: After the 4th pick...
Jordan Farmar. We can definitely get him, as he's probably the most underrated player in the draft right now, it's just a matter of how high we want to trade up to make sure he's still there. Average size, excellent athleticism, great perimeter defender, sweet shot, great handle, great passing, good finisher, clutch, competitive. What's not to love? The pace of his game reminds me a bit of Jason Kidd, but that might be the complexion talking... I see him being an instant impact player, possibly just as much as anyone we take in the top-4.

Re: After the 4th pick...
A guy I think who is off most peoples radar, yet was predicted to be a lotto pick about 2 years ago before he pulled out of the draft, is Kosta Perovic. 7'2" Ukranian with some offensive game. He is a bit slow, and a project, but having some offensive game helps. He would need to strengthen up and improve his speed to stick in the NBA, but because of his size might be worthy of a 2nd round pick.
I also wouldn't mind the Blazers packaging our 2 picks to move up and try to get Sene. He is big and has a good upside.

Re: After the 4th pick...
My dream scenario is that we select a relative unknown in the late first round like a Tony Parker or a Manu Ginobli who can be an all-star in a few years.
Not likely, but one can dream.

As long as we get Morrison, Aldridge, or Gay and trade Miles to anyone on draft day, I don't really care who else we pick up in the draft.

Sounds to much like Ha Seung-Jin, Hasoos. Big, slow, and a project.

Re: After the 4th pick...
I like Brewer too.
I also like Hilton Armstrong, mainly for his shot blocking ability...
Both Sene and that Pecherov guy look interesting as well.

Re: After the 4th pick...
Saer Sene is pretty exciting, but raw. He doesn't look that slow to me. I'd use a mid to late first rounder on him.

As will the Bulls at 16 and the Suns at 21.
