Re: what would it take to push u over the edge
Moving might do it. Might be that proverbial last straw, albeit a 100 lb piece of straw.
I am at a vulnerable state right now. The management of the team is wearing me down. I haven't agreed with the majority of the moves (of which I had an opinion) the team has made in years, and that percentage has increased a lot with the arrival of the Patterson Era and the infamous 25 point plan. In general I don't like their direction, plans or execution.
When they were winning more games, my gripes seemed like sour grapes. (Scoreboard!) Now that the team is historically bad, I find it hard to empathize with their plight, ("You made your bed dumb****s.")
It is hard to stay with a team that isn't anything "good" to use as a life preserver.
It isn't a team of lovable losers. (though that is improving)
It isn't a plucky, but bad team filled with "homegrown" talent from the President, GM, Coach on down. Instead we get a football guy from Texas running the team, hiring a coach who is "Mr. Sonic", drafting a phenom from Brooklyn to be the face of the team, and the so-called franchise player is a goofball average player from Indiana.
It is just bad. Bad on the court, with little hope for quick improvement. A financial wreck. Badly managed with a new plan every year.

Re: what would it take to push u over the edge
I'd still follow the team if they moved... at least until another franchise relocated here in the future.
Hmmm. No longer a Blazermaniac? I guess "Jugheads" might work, but I don't know if I'd go so far as to wear the foam hat that would go with that.

Re: what would it take to push u over the edge
When I first started getting interested in basketball, there WERE no TrailBlazers. (Gawd, I am old!)
If the team moves, that is a deal breaker. I am more likely to go back to following the Sonics and Warriors.
Short of the team moving? If the team dumps Zach and Telfair for drek, AND wastes the #4 on Roy.... I just don't know. At the least, I am going to need to take a major time-out from the relationship.

There are two positives that I see with the current team:
1) They are very, very good at being bad. Most teams couldn't be this bad no matter how hard they tried. The Blazers have shown incredible agility in finding new and interesting ways to screw up. Ya gotta admire that.
2) They make me feel like my life is well managed and my decisions are carefully thought out. Hey, I may be just a loser on a chat board, but at least I'm not signing free agents to two-year deals.

Re: what would it take to push u over the edge
If they were to move would be the end for me. Also, if they were to re-sign any of Wells, Wallace, Stoudamire or Patterson....that would do it, too.
Go Blazers

Are you now a San Diego Jugadores fan?
I MIGHT be, if I felt an affinity towards the current team. But that happening, on top of the last couple of years? I might root for the Sonics or the NBA in general a while (hoping for a new Trail Blazers team a la the Browns).

Being from San Diego, I would love the San Diego Jugadores!! Let's make a deal, we'll trade you the Chargers for the Blazers....
