Did Prichard earn the GM job?
I think Prichard earned the GM job last night, how do you people feel about the job done last night? Or do you think that Patterson had a lot to do with it/combo team effort?

No way of knowing. Personally, I'm surprised that the two-headed monster accomplished ANYTHING last night.
But the GM earns their keep if they can capitalize on today's moves.

Re: Did Prichard earn the GM job?
The one part of this whole thing that stinks is adding LaFrentz or better yet his contract. It is one year longer than Theo's, but at least Theo brought somewhat of a tradable asset in that he was a great shot blocker. LaFrentz although a nice player doesn't do anything well enough for another team to take that contract. I thought that was a bad move

Pritchard did a good job. I like that we moved Theo. If we kept him we might have been too good to be in the Oden sweepstakes.

Re: Did Prichard earn the GM job?
That depends entirely on who really was the driving force of most the deals. It could've been Pritchard. But then it could've been Patterson, or even Nate.
Besides, I'm still unconvinced this was a "great" draft, though I definitely don't think it was a bad one. I still would rather have Telfair then Roy. Getting LA was a good move however, even if it did cost us Khryapa (who I will miss, but isn't a huge loss).

Re: Did Prichard earn the GM job?
yeah we got hosed by the celtics of old (mchale/ainge). but not too much. all we lost was viktor, who when looked at in a positive light cleared up the SF logjam, and a 2nd rounder, which we got back from indiana/memphis and snack change from paul allen.
pritchard earned his job. he erased just about everything nash did and was active in trading, something nash rarely did.

Abseeefriggenlootly!
Pritchard and his moneyball analysis resulted in the Blazers improving in low post scoring, rebounding, perimeter defense and scoring efficiency. Raef will be a nice complement to Joel/Skinner at the 5 and his outside shooting touch should open things up more for Zach.
Roy should be capable of 16/5/4 from the 2 spot, which is a significant upgrade over Dixon.
Aldridge will be brought along slowly, and can take over at the 5 spot when the time comes. I expect LA to out on 25-30 lbs and end up at 6'11 and 255, similar to Jermaine. Most of his scoring this year will be on offensive rebounds and in transition, with the occasional jumpshot mixed in.
