Final trade for the offseason: 10/1/06
With the speculation the Magloire was acquired to facilitate a Miles trade, how about:
Miles
Dixon
Magloire
to Minnesota for:
Madsen
Hassell
Jaric
Bracey Wright

That would be a negatory. That trade is flat out horrible.

Terrible trade IMO....although sadly we may have to do something like that just to rid ourselves of Miles.

If Minny threw in an unprotected 1st in next year's draft, I'd think about it. Otherwise, no thank you very much. Even though I would love to see a Madsen dance in the scarlet and black.

If Mark Madsen could morph into Tim Duncan, hell yeah!
Otherwise, that's a bad bad trade.

Oh, I failed to include:
Troy Hudson to Portland as well, to make it work under the cap.

Oh, in that case, PULL THE TRIGGER.
Just kidding, it's still horrible.

Is there any way we could take on any more scrubs with bad contracts? If so, where do we sign?

Re: Final trade for the offseason: 10/1/06
I'm not an expert in the whole matching salary thing. But if the Blazers packaged Miles with JM, wouldn't that be something in the range of 14 million they would have to get back in salary.
Doesn't Garnett make 14 million a yr?

How about instead, we just waive Miles if we need him gone THAT bad! Dixon and Magloire can still contribute WAAAAAY more than the players we would get back.
