Re: Miles on Isiah's radar
No thanks to QRich. Then again, he's not the malcontent Darius is.

Re: Miles on Isiah's radar
Keep Miles. He doesn't have chronic injuries. QRich is a liability because of his back. It won't get better.

With every injury comes the opportunity to play Outlaw and Webster at the three, who will be scrapping for available minutes.
And when QRich is healthy, he'll contribute in a positive way. He's a fair value for a guy with Miles' history of injuries and attitude.

Re: Miles on Isiah's radar
with Jack as our starting PG, we really could use a small forward who is at least a threat from the perimeter. Richardson isn't a lethal shooter, but he's at least somebody you have to guard. Miles is pretty much worthless beyond 10 feet, and everybody knows it.
Richardson hasn't had an ovarll FG% over 39.6% in four years. That is scary bad. But I'd still do this trade.

Re: Miles on Isiah's radar
Great trade for both teams.
Miles wants to be leave the Blazers and he would get to go to one of the biggest markets in the world. He plays a position they are thin at and I think would mesh well with Stephan and Steve. He would be on a team with so many bad contracts that his would look pretty decent.
QRich would get a new start in a new town that would be so thankful to get him since it would mean getting rid of miles. He would be able to play the 2/3 in a 3 man rotation with Roy and Webster, playing the roll of the Vet. His injuries would likely lessen because there are other capable players at his positions, keeping him from having to play 38 minutes a night.
QRich might not be our saving grace, but I think he would not be a drop in talent, and he would help team chemistry.
Finally, this is a Miles trade I could get behind. I am so tired of all these 'give away' miles ideas, this one nets us a very usable asset in return.
And, it would also mean bye bye to Dixon's minutes, which would be nice.

Re: Miles on Isiah's radar
I'd do it in a heart beat. QRich may not be the perfect player, but I'd take him, bad back and all, for Darius Miles any time. Miles is a cancer on this (or any) team. He needs to go. Most Blazer fans are ready to dump him just to get him the heck out of town - and all the other GMs in the league (other than Isiah) know his trade value is rock bottom and won't give Portland squat for him. If the Blazers can get a decent (when healthy) NBA talent in return, it's a huge steal. Heck, I'd do the deal even if QRich's injuries keep him constantly on the IL.
Anything to get Darius Miles and his "locker room presence" as far away from our young players as possible. QRich was one of the few Knicks last year who didn't publically bash his coach. He actually stood up for Larry Brown and said the Knicks were losing because some of the players were playing like they just didn't care. The fact that he was one of Larry Brown's favorite Knicks and the only one to actually show his coach any support means Isiah is sure to trade him. Imagine that, a player who respects his coach. That would be a refreshing chage from Darius Miles who disrespected both Mo Cheeks (a players' coach and general nice guy) and Nate McMillan (a disciplinarian coach and no-nense guy). I'll take QRich and his bad back over Miles and his bad attitude any day. On the bright side, his back may get better. And even if it doesn't, it's not going to spread to his younger teammates. Darius Miles has proven time and again that his attitude won't get better - and could be contagious.
Please do this deal before someone else beats us to it and unloads their problem child on Isiah Thomas.

No, but he does have a chronic bad attitude.

Neither will Darius' attitude.

Only reason why I would do this trade. Just imagine yourself as Martell or JJ, before the practice- and Dmiles seats nearby saying "**** Dawg, I ain't doing that ****, **** that, knowha'm'sayin'"?
Just having Q's baby face near our Rookies and Sophs, would make this team better.

Re: Miles on Isiah's radar
Actually, Q was one of the guys that Larry Brown singled out as being a positive player. I also believe he and Brandy split up.
I'm all for this trade, as Q can do some things that Darius won't. Like actually hit an open 20 footer. Before his back injury, Q was an excellent rebounder for his size and averaged 10 rebounds a game at DePaul.

Re: Miles on Isiah's radar
This might be the first transaction in the history of the NBA where two players who share the same celebration (two fists to the forehead) were traded for one another. This deal should happen for no other reason than that history-making tidbit.

Q Rich has about 20 lbs on Roy and has a more developed post up game. Sign me up for the Miles/Q Rich trade!

Q Rich has a strong possibility of injury. Darius has a 100% certainty of being an @$$.
Send Darius to the Knicks!
